King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by walshy on Apr 9, 2010 18:15:14 GMT 1, I think the reason the "boy" is left out is because you're meant to replace "boy" with "toy" (a derogatory graffiti term meaning an inexperienced or unskilled writer)
I agree

care to explain/elaborate? I see it says "It's too late for that *something I can't make out*" under the stork - is that what you are referring to?

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by spirit on Apr 9, 2010 21:29:27 GMT 1, But that was written way before this "messiah" message wasn't it? Banksy's stork went OVER the "too late" text and then team robbo added this new messiah text after the stork (along with the drips on the stork's roller).

Yep "i dont believe in global warming" was changed to "I dont believe in war" By team Robbo, to which Robbo replied to himself "sorry its too late for that - team Robbo. This was buffed by a stork and later added to by team Robbo, and then.....

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by walshy on Apr 19, 2010 15:18:05 GMT 1, I'd rather the council just buffed over the whole wall and leave it at that.. Atleast that way It's not Banksy who buffed it and someone can do something nice there instead of the god awfull King Nobbo thing.
Do you not like real street art then ?

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by lc3 on Apr 20, 2010 8:36:40 GMT 1, Anyone else just think it's gotten silly?
Props to Robbo for the "retaliation," and props to the situation for bringing Robbo into the spotlight. Props to Banksy for playing the game... But if anyone really thinks he's not a writer, they're an idiot. At this point, Banksy's probably pieced more walls than Robbo.
IMO, Robbo leaving the original Banksy piece up would have brought him about as much respect & heritage in the art world as this who's-who/me'n-him fiasco has.
But anyway, just seems silly to me at this point... A media/legitimacy grab, mostly on Robbo's part (but not only Robbo). Banksy doesn't need any help on media, but it's the best thing that could have happened to Robbo media-wise, if he wants recognition as a writer (my guess is that he wasn't looking for it, but is plenty glad to have it fall into his lap...). Robbo would have faded into the distance (as he was doing) were this not to happen. Though it's also true that the entire thing has helped Banksy grab some street cred, even it on surface it might seem the opposite. They might be calling him a toy on the wall, but he's deep in the midst of it with an undisputed writer... Can anyone but a writer make that claim?

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by spirit on May 24, 2010 10:55:01 GMT 1, Interesting reference to omar in NYC in that pic above.
Shame omar hasn't got the brains/wit to modify Banksy's pieces like the UK members of the team.
But I guess "if you don't like it, bomb it" does seem to be the American way...

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by Wearology on May 24, 2010 11:57:48 GMT 1, I think the you can do it the "America way by bombing it" is very lame and insensitive - Maybe we can do it the British way and pour 66 million gallons of oil on one of America's most precious resources and take no responsibility for it and not have the brains and or ingenuity to fix it or the manhood to take responsibility for it - Doug Suttles (BP) and his circus of clowns have caused so much damage to the American economy and the animal and plant life he should be ashamed of himself.

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by spirit on May 24, 2010 12:45:11 GMT 1, Well I'm certainly not going to defend a major oil company like BP! Totally agree that profiting from activities that you have no way of fixing/controlling if things go wrong, with such devastating consequences, is highly irresponsible.
But then again, so is covering Iraq with hundreds of tons of highly carcinogenic depleted uranium dust with a half life of 4.5 billion years...leading to a massive increase in the cancer rate, particularly in children.
Although for the record, BP is a public company with international employees and shareholders. It is not owned or operated by the British state.

King ROBBO π¬π§ Banksy v King Robbo, Graffiti Artist, by Wearology on May 24, 2010 15:11:21 GMT 1, I care only about the turtles who can not defend themselves - I don't care about anyone or anything else - I love turtles and I just want to scream where I hear humans from big companies and big governments say that it is a big ocean and sh..t like that -someone or some organization needs to take responsibility - clean it up and move on to the next disaster they are going to create in the name of greed - that's all! I am certainly not smart enough to get into a debate about the pros and cons of international militaries that's for sure - my passion is turtles and they are the patriarchs of the animal kingdom and deserve our respect and protection - they were here before, during and after the "over rated" Dinosaurs - they survived the ice ages and the dark ages and it seems the only ages they won't survive if these companies keep up this bullsh..t is the human ages. As for killing innocent people around the world - I have no explanation but as always there are 2 sides to every story.
