Judith Supine 🇺🇸 Brooklyn NY Street Art • For Sale, by met on May 18, 2021 17:41:17 GMT 1, Just following this, please post what you buy I have 2 Supine OGs and love them. [...]
My pleasure, good luck with the hunt! First piece is from his first solo show in Brooklyn in 2007? Second is a street piece he put up in London (using leftovers from his Brooklyn show). It was put up on the side of a shop on Percival Street in 2007, shop owner sold it to me for around £200! He set the price, not me.
I was curious about what happened to this street piece.
It was pasted by Judith Supine with my assistance in May 2008. And since the location was also just a block from where I live, I felt invested in the artwork and had looked forward to enjoying it outside on a regular basis.
But within 24 or 36 hours, somebody had already removed it. Highly irritating at the time. Nice to see it preserved nonetheless.

Judith Supine 🇺🇸 Brooklyn NY Street Art • For Sale, by blurp on May 19, 2021 3:51:43 GMT 1, That's wild! Based on my files it's fall 2007 and not 2008 but cool either way. Here's a couple pics of it in the wild.

That street piece does look amazing in situ.
For a day or so, it certainly brought much-needed vibrancy and vitality to an otherwise grey part of my neighbourhood.
In addition to these Before shots, did you by chance also take any After photos?
I remember the stark contrast being amazing as well, both in location appearance and psychologically. It was a case of stepping out for some flâneuring, expecting with child-like anticipation to pass by a magnificent (and indeed "wild") creature, and finding its carcass remains instead.
Granted, not quite the tragedy of the commons, but arguably pretty close.
__________
Regarding the year, it may be possible to check the EXIF data of your photographs. I have my own snapshots documenting the street work, but they're still on an old laptop that crashed.
The reference points I'm using for the timeline are twofold:
1. Judith Supine's Dirt Mansion exhibition at English Kills Art Gallery in Bushwick, which I travelled to attend in person (opening on 12 April 2008). His London street pieces were sourced from imagery used in that show.
2. The Cans Festival at Leake Street, London (opening in early May 2008), which Supine came to visit.

Judith Supine 🇺🇸 Brooklyn NY Street Art • For Sale, by blurp on May 19, 2021 18:30:17 GMT 1, I actually dont have any after photos. I had left my details with the shop owner and said if you ever want to sell the piece on the side of your shop, please call me. He called a couple days later and said "sure" naming his price which was, like I said, around 200, perhaps 250? But you are right, it was May 2008. Time is a funny thing. Great memory.
I seem to recall there was another piece around there too on a white wall behind I chain linked fence. Cant remember exactly where... a bit fuzzy. I assume you helped put that up too!
PS It must have been a lot of work cutting that tree down!

Judith Supine 🇺🇸 Brooklyn NY Street Art • For Sale, by jB on Aug 6, 2021 2:30:57 GMT 1, I know this is not for everyone, but I am thrilled with it. The pictures do not do the work justice at all, the colors are much more vibrant and there is a thick coat of resin that just makes this 'Eyes without a face' stand out.

Judith Supine 🇺🇸 Brooklyn NY Street Art • For Sale, by barryscott on Mar 30, 2022 13:17:34 GMT 1, Hi,
I'm in the process of moving around some pieces and I have this artists proof of Eyes Without A Face. It's a lovely print in excellent condition and has been hanging on my wall happily for the last five years but it's time for it to find a new home.
London based collection is preferable as the framing is very nice and it works well. Sensible offers via DM please and no swaps.
Thanks!
