hlarmy - at the risk of being vilified on the forum, if you only ask those who haven't got a NBG, you'll only get half the picture. To get a market value, you'll need to have the both buyer's and seller's views, otherwise you don't have a market...

Surely they have to be involved ?? you can all say whatever price you wish...Its a sellers market on this piece...

No ball games is a keeper, Once flipped the 1st time (bagging a min of 1k) They will be in the hands of the people that wanted then in the first place/collectors....

I will give you a shout if I come across any...

Fair point all; it was said with a pinch of salt as I know those who own one will not be impartial with their estimates... but I guess it could be argued that those who don't have one will go low.

Those with one are now welcome to join the discussion

I'm only looking to get an idea as to what is a fair price (plus I'm shocked the number of people quoting the above price when there are older, lower editions prints not far from this).

I disagree I believe the grey will become more sought after, mainly because of the whole POW overnight event, the flippers have done their bit so hopefully these should now be in the hands of collector and enthusiasts. I also think the grey works better for image.

I have no idea of value but imo these will become a classic

Imo...This is a more mature print and sits well on ANY wall combined with its shape and size looks very impressive...

I know what your saying about older prints and lower editions but in a nicely decorated older persons home a cnd soldiers for example just wouldnt look right ?? sorry if I've offended anyone there but hope you get my point

The green represents the green spaces being lost i.e parks/football fields

They grey represents the streets and tennant blocks...

Dont get me wrong i would have bought a grey BUT the grey looks drab and miserable...and the green a much more cheery colour to behold...

Most greens were sold to persons overseas...

Have you been quoted any sale prices hlarny ??

I've a green copy and wouldn't let it go for the world.

That said, i feel in the long run the green will be
the more sought after version. To my point; the green version made it out
here to the states where people like myself that love Banksy do not normally get the chance to own such a piece.

If I remember correctly, someone was selling one on EB for $2,500USD a week or so ago. That is the best price I have seen. Not sure if it sold or not.

I don't own one. it is not my fav. print but I would buy one if there was one for $2,000USD. Not likely that someone would sell for that but I'm just saying that is my buy it now price.

I am with you telsin the grey looks amazing. I love my grey, it reminds me of the street piece he did in north london a while back [ and the 18hrs Q]. But saying that I would not mind a green one also, so imo grey around £2400 and green £2500 or maybe more or less.
You only have to look at what the galleries and ebay are asking for [ ebay the cheapest grey £2495, green on BRP £2950]

I'm with hooker on prices, although I do know of the odd one going for a bit more than this. Re colour choice I probably favour the green, but both have clear messages and work for me

In POW, green looked pretty good IMO - very vibrant and bright, but its a hard colour to put in a flat or a house and for it to work in a sense of design and style. So therefore, in the same way that GWB is a 'friendly print', i think the grey is friendlier than green. therefore, grey will hold a better value, and in the uk at least its got to be £2k+

I don't remember seing one go for under the 2 grand mark for a long time now.

friend of mine let his grey go for 2k about a 2-3 months ago, and that was to a gallery so one can presume the gallery were happy with 2k + there profit for resale, and also my friend was happy with 2k cash (although he is not a banksy collector/or fan)

so i think it depends on who you are selling too. If your on here looking for a bargain then u must get lucky or find someone who doesnt know what there doing. But if you find the right buyer then there is a market for 2k+ on the print.

it comes down to that famous cliche; its only worth what someone is willing to pay. as for ebay, the prices on there fluctuate so much it cant really be used to define market value. imo anyway. I think 2k was a good price for buyer and seller 2months ago so it may have crept up a bit more since many have found themselves on collectors walls.

my 2c (and yes i did have one for sale, however, as i have done so many times, i had a change of heart and it sits on my wall now indefinitely)

I know - but I am a sucker for art books. Thers another level below those shown in the pic! Glass of red and a good art book, and you find a very contented coach!
