Grafter π¬π§ Stencil Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by barnsy on Apr 24, 2015 7:45:30 GMT 1, Great giveaway Grafter
Not really English as I live in Northern Ireland so this is more a UK thing.
As weather was so good yesterday my Mrs decided to spend the day in the garden on the sun lounger.
And as per a lot of UK people this morning she has woken up looking like a lobster.
Do they never learn.

Grafter π¬π§ Stencil Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Lroy on Apr 24, 2015 16:27:13 GMT 1, I worked at The Royal Albert hall ( there were casuals, as me, always nice with me - apart some F.cking froggy " ... but I did not care, I like angry English men and all the f.ck, and I was so happy to work in UK ) , I have been in skinheads concert and horse races, and what have marked me is is this mix between people: in all these places, no rich ror poor, only people, supporters and fans, United and wanting to share good times! No setters. Real ghirls and boys, very naturals and funny, loving to laugh - as me - and ... English : Love you people ;-) So, am I enough British to be named George ? ( they called me Jimmy there, I dunno why )

Grafter π¬π§ Stencil Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by secondratehero on Apr 25, 2015 5:48:37 GMT 1, Not really english but I'd love to nominate only of my clients at the salon. Sue came in for the first time three years ago and I noticed right away that she was limping and using a cane. After normal hair conversation and a few hows your day going she opened up to me about her life.
She was recently divorced and was going through what seemed the be the hardest time of a life for anyone. You see her husband of 25 years left her one day, during legalities the courts asked her soon to be ex husband to stay living with her cause she was in school and had only budgeted enough money for her part of the bills/house payments before he decided to leave. After six months of still living separately together she was done with school and he moved out. A month later she found out that he had been taking her house payments and wasnt actually making any more payments on the house and she was being force to leave now as her house of 20 years was being foreclosed upon.
If that wasnt hard enough she was packing up her things after being forced to move out with her son and one of his friends. The friend was leaving and as he was pulling his car out from behind hers his foot slipped and he pinned her between the front of his car and the rear of hers when she was putting boxes into her trunk. She had to have her leg removed at the hip. After many surgeries and lots of therapy she was ready to recoup everything she had lost. Until her ex husband told said friend that if he filed for bankruptcy the insurance company couldnt get anything from him for her claims. So he did and she got nothing really.
With everything this amazing woman has been through and all the hardships she endured in the last handful of years she is always in amazing spirits and jokes openly about her leg and life. Shes an amazing inspiration and anytime a situation gets out of hand or my life slips a bit I think of her and her insane attitude and out look on life and instantly nothing can bring me down. I've met a lot of people in my line of work but no one has yet to inspire me more to always keep my chin up and look at the bright side of every situation.

Grafter π¬π§ Stencil Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Grafter on Apr 25, 2015 15:03:29 GMT 1, Must say..... I do like that one... Might have to make a special, one off, in gold leaf, special colourway, with 2 torn edges and 2 deckled edges, hand finished with tea leafs (or is it leaves?), and diamond dust (There's a blast from the past. Who remembers diamond dust and how special those were?), accompanied by a fully authenticated COA with the artists thumb print in his own blood.

What's your opinion of the English dude, how do you view us as a country, how do we come across to the states?

Grafter π¬π§ Stencil Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by smokey on Apr 29, 2015 20:43:22 GMT 1, Again, great looking print. Times like this I hate I live in the states. What's your opinion of the English dude, how do you view us as a country, how do we come across to the states? Sadly living in a small town in the southern US, my personal encounters have been pretty limited. With the exception of one of the most lovely creature I've ever met named Pippa, it comes down to musicians I've admired and met over the years. Who by the way, from Jason Pierce to Ian McCullough they've all been very nice. When I think of the English though, wry sense of humor & eccentric are the words that spring to mind. From the reclusive Syd Barrett to Crazy Lord Bath, you have a long history of individuals that have always fascinated me. Louis Wain, the beloved cat artist, is among my favorites as well. He's probably best known for the bizarre cats he created while in various mental hospitals but I think his pre institutionalized work is just as amazing. I've been hoping to collect some of his postcards for years, but they're rather pricey over here or fakes. It's these colorful characters, from artists to royalty, & even the present day poet & writer Will Carruthers, that I think of. As far as a country, the countryside is simply lovely. Oh & let's not forget, speaking of countryside, the English invented crop circles, & very well I might add. Negatively though, the love, or obsession, of your royalty perplexes me. Obviously I'm way generalizing, but to see the throngs turn out for the William & Kate wedding baffled me. Of course had Kim Kardashian & that rapper guy married publicly, there'd have been thousands lining the streets for that here, so I suppose we each have our own bit of no talent "royalty". Maybe a bit long winded but, what can I say, I got on a roll.
