Gagnon finishes it all by hand with layering which takes alot of time. Until you see a piece i dont think you will be able to understand how much time goes into each piece

The images may get repetitive, but the work is fun to look at regardless.

I have a beautiful large canvas and the piece is anything but one-dimensional. Layers upon layerrrs of different paints with different thickness's. No stencil on it either.

Rene Gagnon πΊπΈ Graffiti Art β’ Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Rene Gagnon on Oct 21, 2007 22:34:31 GMT 1, hello gents,
well thanks for the compliments, always appreciated. and big props to everyone who has invested hard earned money on my work. not sure how to take a comment about one dimensional and the same 3 stencils? that really gives me a chuckle.. the bomber is my logo, like andre the giant is shepards, you'll never stop seeing it. also alot of those works that are repeated were commisssions, all the small canvases. if you took the time to see what i've developed over the last 7 years you probably wouldn't be saying that i'm one dimensional, everytime i walk in the studio i do something different. regardless, i work on the fly nothing is planned, i walk in the studio whatever is nearest to me... stencil, paste, liquid paint, spray paint gets piled on the surface, i could care less about the imagery used its more about the process for me. i like creating work with hidden treasures, just when you think you've discovered everything, you'll see a piece of something else. and yeah i would love to show again to my fans in the UK, like with any other artist when you see it in the flesh its totally different. anyway, thanks again everyone for your support looking forward to showing my wares across the pond someday... peace.

I like your work and I'm looking forward to meeting you here or there some day... I'm quite new on this forum too and I've learnt a lot here : especially how some members'statements make me want to experiment and try new paths whereas some other members' posts make me want to stick to what makes me who I am !!! See what i mean ? Cheers mate, nice to meet ya... j

Rene Gagnon πΊπΈ Graffiti Art β’ Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Rene Gagnon on Oct 29, 2007 13:38:37 GMT 1, hello gents and ladies,
i typically wouldn't post my work on here but part of this new piece "the quote" from picasso was found on this forum. i already had the visual idea for this piece with another saying, but when i read the quote someone posted in one of the threads i couldn't help but use it for this, it fit perfectly. so enjoy. oh and the wall paper behind the piece with the chicken heads was done by artist Blake Marquis, i thought it was a great touch. peace.
