thats good advice. i was havin a talk with my mrs over a similar issue, It may depend on why u r still thinkin about it. It may also help to find out more about the painting itself. I think a lot of GD's work is amazing and missed out on buying on of my fav pieces by him www.guydenning.org/guyorg/sitedocuments/archive/2006_archive/2006_pages/0441.htm that went to someone on this forum or perhaps w a l l candy but still bought a piece which i love and sits better with the mrs. That being said, this piece of his doesnt quite do it for me. I f you can, perhaps wait until the RP show in November maybe?

Another thing to take into consideration is that Guy's work actually looks much better and different in person...

The imagery is not for me on this one but I bet it looks stunning in person... Honestly, you won't find a much better artist with the skill and technique that Denning has and uses...

The canvas I have of his is soooo haunting and beautiful at the same time and really draws you in, it's a piece I really have to stop and look at every time I walk by it...

in the near future this dude in my eyes has a talent second to none.
Regarding the picture above the image is to camp for me but i am surprise no one has not

actually, assuming 'gay' is a dirty word is narrow minded, isn't it?

if someone says 'it's too gay for me' maybe they mean just that - too gay for them (but maybe not for the next collector)?

I heard back from GD today and he had this to say about his move to France...
"This move has been a fantastic opportunity. I've been finishing paintings that have been annoying me now for up to five years - it's such a relief to be in a head space where I can get the problems that have hung around these assorted works finally sorted out".
Looks like there's a 9-11 influence in there and is that a portrait of Jean Charles de Menezes?
I can see at least a couple I'd have if I had the cash. Mmmm
