Guy Denning π¬π§ New Paintings β’ Neomodern , by pelle on Aug 3, 2007 16:54:47 GMT 1, hm, it's a nice piece by Brookes, but to be fair his originals on canvas from the Bern show started at $1500, so maybe asking Β£850 for a work on paper is a little steep?
Then again, as you're also open to offers, I guess there's no need to change anything...

Fully expect negging hey ho.

I don't want to ruin it for anyone else, but you know I think you should hang on to it.

Guy Denning π¬π§ New Paintings β’ Neomodern , by a4mnt on Aug 30, 2007 12:23:34 GMT 1, Whilst I have no interest in promoting this ebay sale, I'm sure I will be.
On ebay at the moment 320152886233. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320152886233&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011
For sale from Tunnadine 2 months ago or so for approx Β£45.
I enquired about this piece from Leigh only to be told it had been sold to someone in Australia.
Fair enough.
Now its up on the bay for around 10 times the original cost, which annoys the hell out of me, seeing as I wanted to add it to my collection, not buy it and flip it.
Clearly its everyone's right to do what they want with their art, but its just irksome really when they are so cynically sold on.
I messaged the bloke, not a particularly friendly message as I was deeply unimpressed.
He replied with : 'Actually I purchased no prints tool bag only 6 original painting. 3 of which are magnificent and these 3 will pay for them. You jealous looser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Clearly I had written prints instead of original. Whoops. I know exactly what this is and I know its not a print. My mistake.
I've fired this off though, waiting his reply! : 'For a start, why would I be jealous of someone who is unable to spell loser, secondly, i'm not jealous, i bought 3 original Denning's, I'm pissed off that scum bags like you stop proper collectors from securing nice pieces without wanting to sell them within 2 months. Crawl back under the rock you came from.'
If Timiflash is a member of the board, I'll gladly continue the discussion in public.
If anyone else wants to buy this piece, not only are you being fleeced but there is also Β£70 postage and duty to pay. Beware.
