D*Face FRAMED, by kapusta on Dec 1, 2014 20:25:00 GMT 1, No regrets. The borders on this print are ridiculous. I'd rather "devalue" it than spend a lot of money on a subpar frameup. I know, I've committed a mortal sin.

D*Face FRAMED, by settingson on Dec 1, 2014 21:27:53 GMT 1, Personally I find this post really refreshing. Buying a print because you really like it and then being prepared to take a hit on potential future investment value to get the image displayed exactly how you would like it. Looks superb and I take my hat off to you as to me that is true appreciation of the print!

D*Face FRAMED, by iamzero on Dec 1, 2014 21:42:59 GMT 1, Each to their own but not something I'd do. The print is that way because of a thought process of how it looks from the artists input with borders and stamps. Kinda like when musicians put songs in an order on an album for a reason and then you go and rearrange them? Kudos for having the balls to do it though...

D*Face FRAMED, by Matt on Dec 1, 2014 21:57:03 GMT 1, Well done. Paint over it, shoot holes in it, do what ever you please, it's your print.
An artist should create whatever he fancies and take pointers from no-one. Conversely that means the critic of the art is free to say whatever he wants (mostly crap), and the buyer of his art is allowed to do whatever he wants

D*Face FRAMED, by kapusta on Dec 1, 2014 22:00:49 GMT 1, One OG version looks like this:
Another looks like this:
The print looks like this:
All have different borders. Why it was decided that the print should have such massive borders, effectlvely limiting how you display it, I'll never know. I can't say Dface was wrong in choosing this. But I, as the art critic, love the image but think the border size was a poor choice.
I didn't deface (pun intended) the image, only it's borders and it's value. I think it looks better now and won't regret my choice when I'm enjoying it for many, many years.

I have a David Flores print that I had cut into three pieces... Yeah, the print is now worthless, but I like seeing the three pieces framed separately.

D*Face FRAMED, by student42 on Dec 2, 2014 6:39:45 GMT 1, I think it looks way better with the cut borders. Good choice. I probably would have went with a less ornate frame but that is personal preference. Looks great either way.

D*Face FRAMED, by honestcrooks on Dec 18, 2014 13:24:15 GMT 1, Hi guys! I'm a pretty new member (and not so active, sorry!) It's nice to see all the veterans amongst the collectors share their pictures, they all look amazing! The balls on cutting the Sweet Nothings by the way! It looks amazing! I don't have the amount of "high end" artwork some of you have, but the few things I have, I'd like to show to you! Sorry for the crappy instagram picture, but it gives the idea :-) Hope you like it! (for more pictures of my "collection", feel free to check HonestCrooks on instagram :-))

D*Face FRAMED, by slimjim1980 on Mar 10, 2015 4:32:50 GMT 1, This might be a pic of my print i cant tell...i know that doug will not duplicate a custom job without the originators approval. Mine the black lines continue onto the frame it self and the frame is glossy black. As soon as i learn to post pictures on here i will. I have a ton of custom work from doug he is top notch if u need a great framer in the LA area. I travel from Arizona to LA to get work done by him about 700 miles round trip. Look him up hes the Framing Devil.
