Banksy Art FRAMED, by Deleted on Feb 13, 2020 11:26:36 GMT 1, Out of interest, had there been any fading of the paper? I want to reframe mine but after 10+ years I'm fearing some issues. We kept the same mount so i'm not sure the framer looked at the paper. We did have a chat about that though and we came to the conclusion that when these were made in 2005 and sold for £75, Banksy wouldn't have been that interested in getting the best quality museum paper and making it so that they didn't fade. So i think i'd be more surprised if there wasn't any slight fading. Looks brilliant.
And having paid £75 for it so long ago, I guess you have to remember why you bought it: to enjoy it on your wall. We can get too hung up on preserving prints as investments and worrying about the slightest bit of 'damage', even to things that were cheap. Good to see one of these on someone's wall, not locked away. It's a bit of art history. A little bit of fading wouldn't change that.

Banksy Art FRAMED, by Deleted on Feb 14, 2020 12:43:56 GMT 1, I'm after some advice on framing my Banksquiat. Was originally thinking of framing it in the same way as the grey one at the GDP show, but given the black version doesn't have a border, I'm now not so sure. I also don't think the wide frame would go well with the rest of the pictures on my walls.
Currently thinking floated, with a simple black frame, but not sure about the background colour (sorry, not sure the technical term on that!). I favour simplicity in framing, so nothing colourful, but is black background better than white? Or grey to mimic the border on the grey board version?
Any thoughts very welcome, thank you.

Banksy Art FRAMED, by astarti on Feb 14, 2020 12:53:16 GMT 1, I would also like to ask what's the safest way to go on this: meaning what type of framing is less intrusive and best protects the artwork (apart from finding a reputable establishment and using top material). I m also considering floating. Its a black print so the fading over the years of display will be even.

It says “framing advice” in the thread description.
But thanks so much for your input. It’s about as useful as when you informed everyone the Bristol wall piece definitely isn’t by Banksy, just before he confirmed it definitely is.

Its for framed BANKSYS i really didnt want it to be by banksy because its pretty naff to be honest. I dont think i used the word definitely did i ?
“ Share photos of your Framed Banksy artworks, Framing advice and Frame examples.”
Why do you have to respond to everything so arrogantly? I asked a reasonable question, politely. And I read the thread description before posting. Maybe you should too.
