If you look amongst the industrial walls of East London, vast swathes of colour and flights of exotic birds swoop out from beneath the brick, adorning the most unexpected places. Leading street artist Xenz’s experimental approach to graffiti has been honed over 20 years, resulting in his unmatched ability to create delicate and compelling large-scale renderings that are recognised worldwide. This autumn, Nelly Duff is thrilled to invite you to an exclusive showcase of brand new original works and printed editions from the internationally renowned Xenz, ‘xEnso’.

East London’s original urban art gallery, Nelly Duff has been exhibiting the very best of street, tattoo and graphic art from Columbia Road since 2006. The gallery passionately advocates the development of high quality, hand-made editions; encouraging traditional crafts and age-old techniques, and is proud to present Xenz’s work as an exemplary testimony to these values.


‘xEnso’, Xenz’s debut exhibition at Nelly Duff presents not only an exclusive collection of brand new works, but introduces a totally new format for Xenz’s artworks. In this show, Xenz incorporates the ancient art of ‘ensō’, the Zen practice of circle drawing that symbolises absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance and the universe. The natural kinship of ensō’s venerable symbolism and Xenz’s powerful landscape work has provoked an all-new collection of circular works, encapsulating the two facets with stunning results. Get ready for Xenz as you’ve never seen him before.


'xEnso' will be on show at Nelly Duff from 2nd -8th November, with a Private View on Thursday, November 1st at 6pm. Nelly Duff will also be releasing a number of exclusive, limited edition prints as part of the show. yep, went along and there was a good sized crowd. the whole top floor of the store was Xenz and seemed to be selling well judging by the gold stickers next to many pieces. a wide variety of sizes, formats and framing too.

That is a really nice piece I already own one from that release he did so not looking for any tapestry style pieces personally. I’m more interested in something large - but I love your framing job

No problem. There's a nice original on eBay at the mo.....£400 region which I think is a snip! (Not mine)

I have just discovered a couple of nice little pieces I totally forgot about  -  they are ‘Confession Bricks’  from Sickboy’s solo show Heaven & Earth in 2011.

12 artists were invited to paint confession bricks (wooden blocks measuring 8.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 inches) 

difficult to price -  OIRO £950 for the Hush brick and £750 for the Xenz seems reasonable for original works but happy to hear other opinions

Hmm that's a bit more than expected, but that is an awful lot of good quality hand finishing and it's a large print (120cm x 70cm).

Shame I'm away this weekend as would have liked to have at least seen it in person.

This looks absolutely bloody lovely! It was an EASY buy for me, and I am looking forward to framing this one as a welcome addition to my ever growing collection of Xenz works.

One minor gripe - Nelly Duff gallery why charge £8 postage after somebody's just thrown down £600 on a print?!?
