Beautiful Sunbirds β Green variant, seven-colour screen print with hand finishing, AP. Price: Β£225 including UK postage.
Size: 17.5 x 22 Inches (44.5cm x 56cm)
Type: 7-Color Screen Print With Hand-Embellishments On 335gsm Coventry Rag Fine Art Paper
Handle with Care (almond), low number from an edition of 25, 2010. Price: Β£225 including UK postage (see below)
Signed and numbered by the artist.
Dimensions: 57 x 44.5cm
Four colour screenprint including gold on Almond Board. With additional hand applied gold leaf.
I bought this from the recent/ongoing Pictures on Walls jamboree for Β£216 including postage, but I don't think it's going to make the wall. They never come up for sale these days, and I have no idea of its real value, but it certainly wasn't bought with profit in mind. So I'll ask for Β£225 including UK postage. If I'm way out let me know, but if I sell for any more than Β£225 all additional money will go to a charity agreed with the buyer (and whatever that comes to, I'll double it).

Weβre the super deluxe all decent ? Better than the Og really with the added butterflies and gold !!

Having the painting break out of the printed border really adds to its impact, in my opinion. They also had the original, which really doesn't cost a whole lot more than the super-handfinished prints βΒ well, three and a half times as much, which isn't such a crazy multiple. It's a bit smaller than the prints, and obviously has lots of extra texture, but I thought the prints would look just great when framed up.

How much extra hand finishing does the more expensive one have, I can see the butterflies on the edge but what else am I missing out on?

The standard hand-finished version has some drips and splatters, and the branch has been painted with some kind of lustrous paint. The super hand-finished versions have two bonus butterflies, those drips and splatters and gold leaf on the branch. There's a big jump in price between the standard h/f and the super-duper h/f; I think they definitely look better, but whether that's worth the premium probably depends on your finances.

Indeed any artist that produces valentine themed art usually goes on the βlistβ. But xenz is quality so heβs let off just this once.
