I did buy one during the release and I am very happy with it.
I am a big fan of Vhils work and I know that people or pro or not convinced by him.
The price seems correct to me compared to his pricing on prints.

This is the Hennessy special collector box (was sold in US only).
It is really a nice piece!

Was there 2 editions of the Vhils Core piece or just one? I vaguely remember a more expensive hand finished version (although I know the edition of 300 was also hand finished).

Any feedback welcome as I am looking to purchase one.

His current wooden doors or metal plates (all unique) are 20-30k. Is it worth buying? This guy is so young has such big team/output, I can imagine there wont be any limited availability in the 30 years or so. Any thoughts?

What is worth buying? If you really like the pieces then yes! I really like his work and own 2 prints that are at my living room walls. I wish I had bought an original some years ago when they were still "affordable"

I was thinking the same some years back when I almost bought a Banksy but didnt wanted to spent 8k on a print :-) Just difficult to predict whether Vhils originals still have room to go up. I would never art as a investment but cause I like it. But I also want something that keeps value....

If you find a piece that is really outstanding in your opinion then go!
Whether its an original or a print, a print would lower your « financial » risk.

It’s a long process to build and think a collection.
I really love the Vhils’ work which I discovered when traveling to Hong Kong. It blown my mind.
After that I started collecting his art: the Lisbon collaboration with Obey, the Hennessy’s box set, the configurable art, the collaboration with Obey in LA, the Core print and the Intagible print.

I have realized after the purchase that « Intangible » was not a print I really liked personally but I did buy it because of my interest for the artist. It is the only one not displayed on my walls!

Buy something you love and want to display, if you are lucky enough it might go up in value later on. If you just want a return on investment and not to display, buy anything related to Banksy it will (should) go up!
