Ahead of the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, the oldest favela in Rio de Janeiro, home to thousands, is seeing a $65 million redevelopment project which includes a cable car, funicular tram and new roads. The bulk of this investment will not reach the inhabitants. Maybe the problem is that he has a new house? Vhils' work is much better when on older walls.

BTW, I just saw Vhils' last work in Paris (that he did some weeks ago around Belleville) and it's even more unbelievable what this guy does with his walls when you can have a close-up look at it.

...from the Studiocromie edition of 30, had first dibs on these and managed to bag what is by far the nicest colour scheme in the edition IMO.

Mulitiple layers of collaged billboards on wood, under 5mm screenprinted perspex, all handmade by the artist. 50 x 35cm. The only Vhils edition I've seen that captures the layers and detail of his larger perspex pieces.

Looking for £500 (UK posted), which when factoring-in import duty & postage is slightly below cost
