hello everybody! this is what we've been doing with vhils down here at FAME.
we cut a huge stencil and did this very big piece in the centre of town, then we did one edition on paper and another edition on plexiglass. i'll post more pictures soon

VHILS is great! but I have a hard time thinking the same about his prints.. he is more street than he wants to be maybe.. but he is still young and can be one of the big guys!

does the bleaching have an effect on the longevity of the ink/paper? i once talked to an artist who said it would be the ultimate to have a layer of something on the print that eventually decayed it over time into nothing.

In his original paintings, I believe Vhils treats the paper to sort out the pH after using the bleach.

wow that's a great photo - thanks for posting it! i like this one more than his previous prints because it looks more true to his style and closer to some of his original works. i'm going to be upset now if i don't snag one. fingers crossed!

as much as I like his streetwork (great stuff.. fantastic!) I just don't get the vibes from these prints.. his original indoor stuff is great too, lot of texture, rough, very very nice. But that print is just not for me..

I like it better than his previous print releases, although I really don't think his work translates well in print form.
Hate the bitmap halftone he uses but I must say the price is good and I prefer the colours used in this one. Looks a lot more vibrant than his other Laz releases which left me feeling cold.
Not sure what the above comment is all about. A good framer would probably conservation frame it for £120-150.

Don't you I feel it beautiful and one of his bests prints? (I do but with Vhils happens something similar to Matt Small portraits... Is difficult to hang on the wall a hard and cold portrait (he is not even looking at us!) of an anonimous person... What do you think?)

Vhils

This is yet another technical innovation from Mr Vhils - bringing his ripped poster collages to life in print form. Based on an original poster collage he’s used layers of printed dots to build up the effect of overlaid posters and reveal a portrait.

In a limited run we were also able to screenprint this image over posters he found here in London creating ten completely unique pieces.

No idea what the title means..

I like this, trying to save money for a bigger purchase though. Im tempted thats for sure.
Think the edition of 10 on wood is great value, if i lived in london, id probably be on my way to POW right now.
