New David Choe for Haiti, by gozgoz on Feb 9, 2010 19:31:15 GMT 1, I have to write here to vent my frustrations. I think this warrants a public post to make all aware of this new hemway setup.
As many of you know, I ordered two - well, a colleague of mine ordered two. One for himself and one for me. We happened to be in his room then at work and we decided for ease of transaction to do it there and then.
At this point of time there was no One Per Customer Limit (Some of you also noticed that the One Per Customer Limit only went up subsequently as many of you will be able to vouch)
So we put in an order for two. There was a confirmation email sent from them.
The One Per Customer Limit came up subsequently and was brought to my attention by a forum member - I did not put in another order as I thought they would honour our transaction as it didnt have a limit when we ordered and there was a confirmation email.
Today, we received news that only one print will be sent.
I am deeply aggrieved. The people at Hemway were not very helpful and the guy kept saying there is nothing he can do and he is sorry. What I dont get is - Why am I getting penalised for a mistake they made - if there was a limit, why didnt they get back to us asap and clarify? I have no idea why he cant see that its two separate orders.
The only friggin reason why we didnt order separately was because there was no limit and we happened to be in the same office room.
I could have easily strolled a couple of metres back to my room and did my own separate transaction.
I know its for a good cause and I know its non-profit but that does not detract from the fact that it was conducted badly.
Doesnt seem like I can do very much now. I called them up and had an argument with the guy over the phone. But seems like he has no more prints to send out.

New David Choe for Haiti, by gozgoz on Feb 10, 2010 0:00:38 GMT 1, Nope. I had a huge argument with the guy. He did not offer any alternatives, said his hands were tied and basically sorry there is nothing we can do.

i mean this is the real kindness of strangers i tell you. what a rollercoaster of a day!
