Andipa Gallery is delighted to launch two new works by Slinkachu at the gallery’s annual exhibition in Switzerland.
The works will be available from Tuesday 17th February, 2009.

Left to fend for themselves in the bustling city, Slinkachu’s miniature figures venture across the large metropolis, wading through blades of grass and puddles in the pavement cracks. A world of miniature scale is uncovered as figures board buses, await lifts and enter inch-tall doorways. The positioning of Slinkachu’s models within the urban context plays with the element of surprise and the unexpected, and warrants immediate empathy and understanding from those discovering these scenes. These site-specific interventions are captured through Slinkachu’s photographic documentation.

Slinkachu has recently released his first publication ‘Little People in the City: The street art of Slinkachu’, published by Boxtree (Pan MacMillan), with a foreword by author Will Self.

I wish! The rate of VAT was reduced from 17.5% to 15% in November however.

I saw some if his photos at the start of little treasure hunt (sorry can't remember the gallery, soho somewhere) these where also priced at a couple of grand but I believe og's and a nice size big and glossy. Slink is a legend but I feel his price will keep going large, just my imo.

I like Taxi, but Wonderland seems too specifically "Christmassy" to make a print from.
I would definitely have gone for Taxi if the price wasn't so stupidly high. Seems out of proportion, compared with other artists.

At the London Art Fair inJanuary, I gave my details to a stand for a Peter Blake print at £795 - by the time the lady had taken my details the print was £2500 - whoa I said - and she said - well there's only 4 left!
I don't know if advertising the fact that you're going to shaft somebody is worse or even more worse - infact I don't know what the English is to express myself! let's hope Slinkachu does another fine foto for a pound next Saturday!

I'd forgotten that had already been made as a print. I was secretly hoping it would be the image at the BRP show.
