Artnet Auctions πΊπ², by artnet auctions on Jul 13, 2009 16:02:37 GMT 1, artnet offers two different services, the Gallery Network, which enables galleries to have their own site on artnet and post works they are offering, and artnet Auctions, which is artnet's own online auction site. If there is a particular work being offered on the auctions site that you are interested in, you can speak directly to the specialist on that lot to learn more about its provenance. The client services number is +49 30 2091 7850

Artnet Auctions πΊπ², by wizzy on Jul 13, 2009 18:18:50 GMT 1, Last week i applied to become an Artnet online auction seller, i filled out the questionaire etc and clicked send, i then recieved an email from Artnet telling me i had applied to become a buyer, i contacted Valerie who told me that yes i was a buyer as my application to become a seller had to be approved?, today i received an email from Valerie at Artnet asking me to supply further information so my application could be further considered?, i have emailed Valerie at Artnet asking why and also told her that should my application to become a seller NOT be approved then this makes an easy application complicated and she should close my account with Artnet forthwith. In all my dealings with Auction houses and Galleries worldwide i have never had to give any further information to prove myself to be worthy and esp. of an internet online auction.
edit. Now in process of being sorted out, watch this space.
edit2. Artnet have STILL not contacted me after one week, i will close my account with them.

Artnet Auctions πΊπ², by schlomo on Jul 18, 2009 10:22:29 GMT 1, i've been having a look every so often matey.... Alot of pieces still havent had the opening bids matched, certainly none of the pieces with opening bids of more than 6000 USD have had a bid on, and not many above 1000 USD, so far i've seen 3 banksy prints, 1 Faile, 1 Eine, 1 Burhan DoganΓ§ay, 1 Keith Haring, 1 obey and 1 kaws with bids on (above 1000).....
sure more will come tho, as much as i dont like the whole massive opening bids thing theres actually some nice pieces kicking around....

Artnet Auctions πΊπ², by cpo on Jul 21, 2009 5:16:39 GMT 1, Do you think instead of spamming 50 different threads with all of your individual artnet Auctions, you could make one thread and put all the info in there?
Thanks. You have a website for your individual auctions, no? This is the banksy Board where commerce regarding other artists is certainly allowed, but no need to make it your second website at the expense of Silky's work...

Artnet Auctions πΊπ², by lobster on Jul 21, 2009 9:21:33 GMT 1, As a VERY new buyer of urban art I use artnet a lot for prices and think the product is excellent.
The prices though in this "auction" are frankly a joke and you should actually get a prize if you can find ANY Bansky that you can`t buy for less than the opening bid let alone the estimates.
With the excellent "Pest Control" certifactes in place - why not buy from forums such as these which will undoubtedly save you money and as long as the items have PC is just as secure ?

I take that to mean I can place adverts and links to anything I'm selling anywhere I feel fit?
it is somewhat disconcerting to go to look at framed Banksy prints and find links to their auctions?

Artnet Auctions πΊπ², by manty on Jul 21, 2009 11:41:45 GMT 1, Is anyone a seller on here?
I still dont get the whole buyer/seller if there is a problem thing, but then again I am thick. The autioneer hasnt seen the item but can give condition reports and prov? and if its not as described the buyer can hopefully get a refund from the buyer, but artnet dont have any dealings in a dispute.
I am sure I have this wrong, and someone will correct my stupidity

Is it me or have more pieces been added? theres now one of those steve powers 'Everything is Shit' prints that came out at POW recently, 600USD starting bid thank you very much, not a bad effort for a print that cost Β£160....

Kind of a poor, thrown together auction of a bunch of work no one wants. Especially at those prices. Guess the only risk for them is bandwith and credibility when advertising is FREE.

The google adverts at the top of the forum are not run by this forum, but by the company that hosts the forum and software. This forum gains nothing from them and has no control over adverts shown.
