sounds like they paypal yu the money rather than refunded you via paypal (if you know what I mean)

example: If I sent you a tenner and then you clicked refund I would get the whole tenner
but if you just paypalled me a tenner then I would get fees like I had sold you something.

You only get a couple of weeks to refund someone otherwise you have to do a regular paypal transaction, but they should of made up the difference and It sucks that they did not pay the postage back as it was not what you ordered

Was stoked to get this print for $60 + 7

67 TOTAL

Thought the shipping was quite low considering most other printing firms ship at $12.50 + within the UnitedStates.

But Now I got Refunded! So Lame.
Not to be a hater but I Was hoping it was just the international peeps that got refunded.

But they refunded my 67 dollars and I'm in the US. Really awesome.
Way you get the ball rolling on a good note w/your limited signed numbered prints Dalek.
(Figured it was a situation where somebody underestimated the shipping rates and ultimately they were going to have to take a loss on shipping, so instead just canceled and refunded all orders)

The Late James Brown says "It is what it is", and "what it is", is BS that we wasted out time with this release.

Seems like Print Releases are the least secure transactions I've ever been involved in. One never know what the hell is going to happen.

Even when your money goes through their secure shopping cart, and transaction is completed. It's really not complete.

It's like they take the dough, and you're left sitting with a question mark as to weather or not you're Actually going to get a piece of art you put your money/time into.

I dont understand why you insult an artist and go on to say your not going to buy anything from him for a while just b/c you didn't get there in time to get one! I understand being refunded SUCKS but you win some and loose some.

1 thing I don't agree with is the 1 print limit per household was not in place here, and if it was there would still be refunds (not as mantytho). At the same time, Dalek prob didnt expect it togo so quick! hopefully he can work out the kinks in the future! PEACE

Great to see Dalek releasing prints through his website again.

For those of you that dont know, Dalek was an understudy to Takashi Murakami. $60 for a print is a steal for being around as long as he has.

The manga influence is there, but not as strong as Murakami, it's murakami with rulers, but that's what makes Dalek, Dalek.

Yea Murakami is a huge influence in contemporary art, but Ill take a painting that is signed by the artist that actually painted it over a Murakami/Koons/Hirst anyday of the week.

Also, Im sure Dalek is not happy about this either. One of the nicest, most genuine people in the scene. Mistakes happen, cut him some slack.

they are actually called space monkeys and are prevalent in his early work. The reason why this piece is so attractive to me is it seems IMO it s a transition print from leaving space monkeys to his new line depth and serious geometrical style.. love this print!

Check out Irvine contemporary in D.C., they have website and held his last show there. The work is so freakin sick.. a chromogenic print, same as murukami uses, edition of 10 with no space monkeys! amazing my friend bought one and up close in person it doesn't even look like a print, more like an original

Registration is not perfect, but you will be looking at it from far away anyways when you hang it, not up close all the time, so it doesn't have to be perfect.
