You really need to take care when buying anything off ebay and the forums and remember...

my advice is just be careful when buying prints and not to rush into things.

Ok it was 27th I saw this ebay listing

it was on my phone and i didnt pay much attention to the photos and just thought all was good as I could see Coa. I contacted the person asking for best offer and we changed details. Her name was Samantha Fennon, we spoke over the phone and came to a agreed price. I stated i wanted to come up with cash and she said that was fine. I then thought it all seems fine so I changed my mind and decided to just send through paypal. She responded to my texts.

She said she sent the print on the 28th next day delievery. I then was reading on the forum and noticed this and my apparent one was in the fake banksy thread.

this one sold but apparently they didnt have blindstamps?

Then if you look at the CND its to the newer style sig which looks photoshopped over and also they covered the coa number as its not the one stated in their listing. (obviously)

Ok so after seeing this thread I panicked a bit and contacted her asking for her name and if she got the coa.

she seemed to know about POW and said yea i got it in august 2009. so i gave you her name 'Samantha Fennon', you got back to me so i called her back again then she gave her ex bf's name. again I email you but again not in that name.

I then phoned her back and she said 'dont worry its all ok youll recieve the print tomorrow with the reference number'

I said 'ok' but knew it wasnt right. i then text her for the tracking number but got no reply, i then rang but she hung up then switched her phone off.

On the 29th no print arrived.

funnily she left me another number so i called that and a girl picked up claiming it wasnt samantha even though it wasnt.

I asked for a refund, and said ill contact the police if i dont. i said she has until 4pm to refund me.

i googled her name and found some background info like her bebo, which secondary school, her age...i wasnt going to let her get away.

4pm comes. so i ring DC Lawson, my bank, local police station

I filed a dispute in paypal but can only get money back if she agrees or if she doesnt then only if she hasnt already put funds in her bank.

my bank said you can only go for a claim 30 days later but some hope.

I text her saying ive reported to police and expect a letter from soliciters.

she responded saying police already knew at her end, and cheque is in the post.

told her i didnt want a cheque, I wanted a refund through paypal. i knew she was most probably lying about the cheque anyway.

she gave me her address so i put that into goggle found out a company. I went on to the company directories and found a 'robert fennon' to that address which is the same home address, so i facebooked his name and found photos of his house, contact details, home phone number, work details, work van, other cars. this gave me hope as I knew many details now so i could get hold of her. also the rest of the family on facebook but no samantha fennon on facebook, odd seeing as shes 19. but at least now i knew for sure that was here correct address.

I contacted stockport police and told them, they confirmed she lived at the address and as she said she sent a a cheque Ill have to wait a few more days until I can take her to court. but they wernt able to tell me over the phone if police had already been round there.

I logged in to paypal on the 30th close to midnight and saw she has attempted to refund but currently the payment is 'pending'.

but what happened to this 'so called' cheque. She must of realized she was screwed and had no choice.

hopefully this will go through and i have my money back, otherwise ill be sending a few letters over to take her to court.

fuck me !!! Just read this !!! I spoke to her as well and agreed a price of £1850 for the CND for cash - I said I would pay a deposit and asked her to send the print direct to Gary for frameing but to keep the PC - when he was happy with the print I would send her the balance and she would send the PC !!! Before I agreed this deal I offered to pay her train fair down to London and get someone to meet her with the cash but she said sh was "too busy at work" !! She told me that her boyfriends Mum was ill which was why she was selling the prints BUT then emailed me the next day to say she had a better offer on the CND !!!

EVERY bansky print I have ever bought I have always got someone to pick it up for cash or done it myself and your story mate just means that won`t be changing !!!

The more I hear and read about dodgy experiences, the more you really gotta trade face to face, otherwise take 1 hell of a risk...

Prints not being sent, dodgy framing, dry mounted prints etc, not sure I understand why someone would take a chance on potentially spunking a couple of grand without the dog seeing the rabbit first.

The LA print used stolen photos from another auction. so i doubt the print even existed
