Vhils Vhils Where are you!, by alsbabar on Jun 22, 2008 1:31:27 GMT 1, rillo - funny that the story made you use him. Most people ran scared to their framed pieces to look for rubbing out marks! I am sure he does a great job as I know POW and Laz used to recommend him. They now go elsewhere! Alsb, its a bit naive to say 'so what'. Would you really want someone tampering with your pride and joy?
I get what you are saying Zippy, and perhaps I should have elaborated more, but of course not, but i guess you have to look more in to the motives and I doubt for one moment Lenny did this with anything sinister in mind. Like I said Lenny does a lot of my framing and all have been top notch and I trust him.

Vhils Vhils Where are you!, by robstar on Jun 22, 2008 12:10:48 GMT 1, I like Darbyshire, I think their frames are amazing, but I guess they're not cheapest.
I'm keeping my print, I think this Vhils print is the most interesting since Banksy if I'm honest. The new technique Bleaching the print seems really interesting and I think it's going to look amazing in person. I can't wait for it to arrive. The bigger POW image DEFINITELY looks wicked!

If you want to know more, PM and I will tell you.
I'm sorry but a framer who does this is not one to recommend...

Vhils Vhils Where are you!, by jones27 on Jun 23, 2008 16:13:41 GMT 1, I got one too. Am really pleased as its my first firsthand piece! Can anyone recommend any decent framers around Fuham area?
I used one in Parsons Green last week for my Bast 'Sizzling' print. They are called ArtBeat on 703 Fulham Road....Good fast service, only took a week. Cost ยฃ95.

Do NOT go to the one on the corner of Parsons Green Lane and the Fulham road (Not ArtBeat mentioned above, but the one with all the canvases in the window which is part of the mirror shop too). They can't even get a print straight in the frame (not even close!) and just frame things how they seem fit (not how you asked). The guy then tried to give me sh*t when i said i wanted him to redo it. It was a signed Banksy too. They're cheap but you get what you pay for. Learnt my lesson.
However, i spoke to the guy in the little gallery over the road (near the school/library) and he seemed quite knowledgable and conservation friendly in regards to prints. He said he could get things framed and everything he had looked top draw. He also had some stunning Hirst butterfly's that i still love.

whats the name of the shop you recommend ? I almost opted for the mirror shop but prefered the look of artbeat (lucky escape eh)....Although nothing beats Mr Frameman. He has recently put his prices up tho and I didnt want to pay ยฃ180 frame on a ยฃ250 print. Will definitely use frameman on any future Failes tho...

Vhils Vhils Where are you!, by wonkeydonkey on Jun 23, 2008 19:00:30 GMT 1, Not sure exactly of the name of it, but it is a little gallery just opposite (next to a hairdresser, i i think) on the corner of Clonmel and Fulham Road. i don't think he will be cheap though, so might only be worth it for higher value items, like a Faile. worth a try though, even if it's just to see the art in there. If not, Artbeat is almost opposite
