i was gonna buy the k but something came up and i bottled it. if this was a shutterfont i'd be all over it. it's just alot these ones dont do it for me unless you have a whole word.

Connecta no what I mean and not sure of how many have been issued.

26 letters in the alphabet. They bare all different. Eg there is only one E. If there have been 5 issues that means 130 canvasses but only 5 E's. So my point is that each letter is quite individual and of a small issue.

So you could look at it as one of 130 or one of 5.

Now not sure what galleries have told people I did buy one and did not ask as thought it was pretty good value in comparison to a print etc.

Don't think anyone will be able to answer the question of how many have been produced other than Eine/Stella.

Either way they are OG's. I guess this is the last bunch of these... has been confirmed in the past.

I bid for a commissioned single letter, circus font canvas on ebay and won it a couple of months back, I paid £270 thought it was a steal as it was actually a letter of one of my initials. The seller forwarded on the original emails between himself and Ben Eine and it was stated that he would no longer be taking commissions for single letter canvases. It is signed and dated on the reverse of the canvas, I wondered if this was the case for the series on here?

I bought mine from the batch at No Walls previous to this one, a couple of months ago....It is signed and dated on the back 2011....Not sure where No Walls got this batch, whether new or secondary market.

Pidge what is the date of the email and canvass as that is interesting as this is a commitment from the artist that there will be no more rather than a gallery.

I am going to drop the gallery an email and see what they say and will print a copy of the reply here.

Contacted the gallery on this and sent the following email and got the following response.

I am on one of the art boards and there has been a discussion on these canvass’s. No changes on my order let’s get that clear. But said I would drop a note and ask a couple of questions and let people know.
 
A lot of people who had earlier single letters it seems were told that theirs was the last and now they are surprised that more are on the market.
 
One guy even has a copy of an email from Ben supplied by a previous owner of his saying that he would not be doing anymore.
 
What date are the current ones? Where /are these a new edition?
Is this the last lot or is it expected that more will come onto the market later ? Is this known or just up to EINE etc?
 
If he does more are their plans to change the font? Do you know?
 
Any other info you may have on this would be interesting?

Thanks for the email and for flagging this up to me.

I'll do my best to try and clear it up for you........ Ben isn't currently painting single letters to order however he very kindly supplied us with a small amount to help support our gallery, for which we're very grateful. He might decide to do so in the future again should the whim take him. I'm a huge Eine fan myself and I'm hopeful he will, but who knows.

The letters aren't a limited edition and it's unlikely that there are two of the same colour way in the same letter, but not completely impossible...... 

In terms of other fonts, Ben might decide to use a different font in the future, but equally he might decide never to paint them again, it's really his call. Obviously if they were editioned then it would be different, but they aren't.

Hope that helps answer your questions? Feel free to post the above on the forum. Will hopefully clear things up for people. We'll send your canvas out later this week. I'll forward some tracking info once it's been collected.
