Bit confused. Assuming they aren't your details he has then don't understand. I was trying to reason out his thinking, that's all.

Theres always emotions running high when people miss out so to offer for sale before you even have it tbh he deserves not to get it at all.

Feels like one big in-joke I'm not in on. On a related note before I get accused of having some hidden agenda to bring down Nick Walker from the inside out I do very much like Vandal Airways.

v for vandal, by spirit on Apr 17, 2008 16:16:55 GMT 1, I don't condone Bellman's actions but I don't condemn them either. The fact that he posted the details here under a dummy account (I assume, it being his first post and all) suggests that he probably used a dummy account on ebay to make the purchases as well. Therefore I doubt he is worried about his contactual obligations as an ebay seller. It would probably have been better to send the details to brp instead of postong them here tho'. Flippers who sell on ebay without even having the print in their hands should realise the risk they are taking and should not really be surprised when this kind of thing happens.

If people made it impossible for people to flip art like this, then they would stop doing it. This would make it a whole lot easier for those who wanted to buy it to for the wall to do so.
And before anyone goes on about contract law and rules and other BS, most of the artists that are talked about on this board are taking direct action and illegally decorating the streets. Think about it.........

I agree with Lampsy --- Bellman you are a complete bell end! I have been queing at BRP and was lucky enough not only to get my hands on the haly grail of 75 but also the V for vands....
I was totally gonna flip the second soon as i got it cause i wanna fund for another purchase that i have been after for a while. How the fuck do you know why the seller is selling?? So fucking what if people do this??!! At the end of the day people need more dedication to obtaining prints and if it means you sit infront of your pC like t**t then you should do it. I think you have nothing against this guy at all its just a matter of sour grapes. Get a better pc and connection and while you at it get a fucking life!!

I would prefer it if Banksy's weren't worth what they are now because then I would be able to afford more of them. Flippers make the price of prints go up which may be good for investors but it is not good for art lovers who want to put them on the wall. By flipping a print in this way you are preventing someone who wanted to actually keep it from getting it at a reasonable price. In other words you are shafting the people that truly love the art.
In my book flipping a print within hours/minutes/ of buying it is pure profiteering and while it happens and it's not illegal that doesn't make it OK. Flippers can go about their business but they should be aware that it is not risk free and just as you shaft others you will get shafted yourself.
Who are we to Judge? We are the people that actually care more about the art than the money.

v for vandal, by Deleted on Apr 17, 2008 18:10:21 GMT 1, can i point out a different theory on collecting high value prints? While most of us buy because we first and foremost like the images, isn't a factor that drives crazy demand the fact that they're worth more than what we paid for them? I think the influence of this factor varies from person to person, but, isn't knowing that something you bought that originally costs $50 is now worth $2k part of the allure as well? Especially as you can "trade in" that bit of paper for a mortgage payment, down payment for a house, and even original...
