BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by jed100375 on Apr 16, 2008 13:04:35 GMT 1, I was gonna get there at midnight but by the sound of things. I might get there early evening!! Surley 24hrs should be good enough to get the print!
I'm not gonna sit at home in the hope that i can get the other two when the last couple of times there has been no 'buy' button!!

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by bobbyt23 on Apr 16, 2008 13:05:13 GMT 1, Nice. I like it.
Tomorrow I will be turning up with a big bag of beer just to drink until I get into the actual show and get to drink their beer. It sound like the queue is going to be horrendous.
Good luck to those who want to get this print. I am quite glad I'm not after it now.
Hope to meet a few more of you there tomorrow night.

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by idris on Apr 16, 2008 13:15:44 GMT 1, well, people - call me insane but I am actually on my way down now frm Leeds. Heading straight for the queue - should be therebout 3 - ish and i'm definitely not camera shy so i'll be posting pics.
I know what some of you gus are saying about the guy who's already queuing. So what if he is queuing early? If that's what he wants to do - let him. OK - if he had a bunch of mates turning up to buy prints then you gotta point but right now there's only 2 queuing so keep your knickers on :-)
For all those who are gonna be queuing - lets play it fair shall we - here's wishing anyway. If it gets too rough i'll be outta there b4 alan sugar can say 'your fired' :-)

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by killerkellah on Apr 16, 2008 13:27:27 GMT 1, Queuing more than 24 hours to get a print? Bloody hell.
This is an endurance test in the hope you can make a months wage on Ebay the following day. If thats the case then fair enough, but Im not sure I believe anyone who says its because they love Nicks work that much - though I suspect there are possibly 1-2 fantatics in the mix.
There are people dying of starvation who have to walk and queue for hours to get basic food rations. Whats the worst thing that will happen if you dont get a print??
A sad state of affairs...

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by funyoung on Apr 16, 2008 13:52:38 GMT 1, It all boils down to how much you value your time. If you can afford the time to get the piece to hang on your wall forever then why not. 24 hours is a small price to pay in that respect. Weigh it against never being able to afford it otherwise.
If they are flippers then: 36 hours with potential profit of say £1200 (pure guess)? That is £33 an hour. Hmmm. How much is your hourly rate?

because they can pretty much charge whatever price they like and people will pay it..... (as todays queue proves)
ladies and gentlemen I give you.....the credit card.

I imagine it was as they said a 'difficult' print to produce, that coupled with only 75 in the edition??
I mean if it is £750 then I am guessing an edition of 150 would have been around £400? Anyway, the London MA is now £3k+ on Ebay so incomparison it's still pretty cheap, at least the money is going to the Artist and not the flipper!!
