BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by thetruth55 on Apr 18, 2008 19:40:24 GMT 1, On romanywg's pic thread, I thought I caught a glimpse of a Mona Simpson canvas behind some other stuff ( www.flickr.com/photos/romanywg/2407935139/in/set-72157604378029404/ )...does anybody know if a canvas was ever displayed at one of his shows before? Having a pink canvas like that would look pretty cool hung up I imagine.
Carry on.

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by leumasdarnley on Apr 18, 2008 19:47:09 GMT 1, Mona Simpson Original not sure about it being displayed at a show but POW did the Mona Simpson XL which was about that size you could probably pick one up on the bay. One guess on the Vandals flood I think Vandals is going up for sale kinda like how Applause seemed to flood the bay because of its large size. Might see more Airlines hit the bay in the weeks coming as they arrive would be my guess.
Hmm u modified your post well I answered the question about why Vandals is up on the bay more than Airlines.

I noticed that earlier today, turns out they're selling on for clients so not a case of a gallery getting hold of eight.

I find it very hard to believe that 8 out of 75 people have separately decided to flip their Butterflies through this gallery within 12 hours of getting back from the show...

Is there a large Polish community in Bristol? By large I mean around 8.
theres more like a 10000 plus Polish community in bristol. i can tell you now it wasnt the Polish responsible for this. in one of Romanywg's pics(the one just before opening time) is the man responsible for organising at least 3/4 people to que for him. he is stood slightly aside from the que with light brown trousers on, he is a large guy, has dark hair and dark coat. he drives a big dark coloured land rover style motor. i wouldnt normally point someone out, but the blokes he hired were very dodgy. although i obviously disagree with what he did, i can understand the motives. it would have been better for everyone if he had paid some humans instead of the cheep thugs .

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by Deleted on Apr 18, 2008 22:08:17 GMT 1, i just looked on ebay and have seen that 9 'life's too short' have hit already. well thats the ones currently listed, there may have been some already bought. i guess that most of you wont be shocked to see that. i have to say i am. its a great print that would sit happily along side any of the series so far and also would look great on its own.

errrr. no mate, i'm afraid you're wrong.
trust me, i bought one - they were 3750 each with a TOTAL edition of 12 (6 white, 6 black), with only 4 being sold at the show.
the receipt's on the corner of my desk - i'm looking at it - they were definitely 3750.

BRP - Nick Walker - The Queue Diaries, by dogant on Apr 20, 2008 9:16:45 GMT 1, sorry - mis info on me - thet where 3750 each!
Typo at my end!
As for the numbers.....
White was an edition of 12 (6 being already sold in LA - 2 available @ BRP show). I know of 2 being sold just after the LA show to the uk and another was heading back over the pond - so not sure where the last 1 is.
Black was an edition of 6 (brand new for the BRP show - not sure where the other 4 went)
Hope this helps

Yes - both £3750 - although the white at the LA show where 3250 US - so a big jump since bonhams

Alright I can understand that thing above (ridiculous but fair enough).
What I can't understand is how is it possible that this 'gallery' is already selling all this NW originals from the show when the preview was on this thursday and the show just opened?? www.filthymodernart.com/artists/nick-walker That's just a plain fecking joke? That's the worst thing I have ever seen (flipping-wise) Is BRP aware of this? I hope not because if BRP knows about it that's another one.
