Insect • POW Skull Prints , by blitsu on Oct 7, 2012 0:42:11 GMT 1, Perhaps they aren't worth what you paid for them. If a loss is a struggle, don't sell them. if cash flow is king, sell them at 99p start. Depends how much you need some money, I guess. There is no shame with dropping money on a piece. We've all done it. Right now they are an asset. It's present value probably bears no relation to what you paid for it. but at least it has some value. That's why I stopped collecting wine and cigars. Too tempting to drink and smoke. At least these have some sort of risidule value.. Given that, I have a number of prints under the bed I really should list.
Point being, if you need the dough, sell it and take whatever you get. More practical than sitting in the dark, stomach rumbling
Just my 2p

Well said blitsu. My experience this year was that most of what I sold on here weren't worth what I perhaps thought they were. For example I advertised a Nick walker 'Life's Too Short' for around £1k for quite a while and had very little interest. Steadily I lowered my asking price until I got to around £775 and then stated to get some serious interest. In the end rather disappointingly for me it sold for that price. Shame as I loved that print. I think the thing is is not to get too sentimentally attached. Hard not to I know. I've learnt that over the course of this year. At the end of the day an original or print is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If what you're selling means too much to you then keep it, but if it means it goes towards something special or just pays off that niggling bill or overdraft then sell and move on.

(Subtitles don't show up on the mobile version of this site either, so people will ask what prints you're selling!)

I’d be interested. What do you want for them?

Insect • POW Skull Prints , by sjstringfellow on Dec 3, 2019 15:45:52 GMT 1, Hiya,
Thank you for your reply - what would you be looking to offer? I had them valued at Christies some many years ago so I have a price in mind, but am looking for a quick sale. More info;
Picture on Walls "POW" screen prints that I’d like to auction which come in the original wooden frame as exhibited in "Santa’s Ghetto" pop-up exhibition in London's Tottenham Court Road in circa 2004.
The exhibition advised me that these were previously owned by Ronnie Woods of the Rolling Stones however, unfortunately, I do not have any proof of this and therefore this is just hear say.
Paul Insect - Pictures on Walls - Details of prints
The dimension; approx 19" by 13" The medium; screen print Any marks or signatures; embossed stamp with number of edition, artist signature Any damage or repair; one small scrape to one image approx 1cm The holographic edition is by far the most rare and sought after, edition 5/10. Purple edition; 5/9 Pink edition; 4/10
The colorways that the Paul Insect skull print came in, along with their edition numbers was as follows:
Purple edition of 9 Holographic edition of 10 Orange edition of 10 Red edition of 10 Pink edition of 15 Yellow edition of 15
Happy to send you some photos

Insect • POW Skull Prints , by obaki69 on Mar 18, 2021 14:52:40 GMT 1, These seem pretty rare. Does anyone have any framed they would be willing to show? The Ebay listing looks pretty high, is that a realistic price for these?

Insect • POW Skull Prints , by obaki69 on Mar 18, 2021 15:56:10 GMT 1, That looks insane. Really really nice. I just purchased one and hopefully it's legit. When it gets here I'll post images.
Only one I've seen for sale recently is the Ebay one. The one I bought is from an edition of 10 and signed.
Crossing my fingers.
Thanks for the info.

Were the hologram ones in an edition of 10 for each colour or just one edition of 10 different colours?

10 of each I think. I used to have a red one. They do look great in person.

I hate when that happens. I had been keeping my eye on that one for a few months and had been very tempted at times, but didn't purchase in the end.
