I saw it last night, after I think the seller sold a tea drinker. I thought the buy it now price was pretty decent, but decided on the basis my walls are more than full already not to take the plunge. I am pretty gobsmacked a bid of £700 was accepted, times are definitely getting tough for people!

I sold a matching number set of Neate's a few weeks back for 2.8k cf/td/pwg, I think I was very lucky to get that!, Adams work really doesn't translate well to print at all, biggest mistake he ever made I reckon.....

Need a bit ov advice people, I had an offer of £700 accepted by the seller of the PWG earlier today on ebay. Corresponded a couple of times via email ref payment and everything was fine, Just got back home now and logged on to find an email saying " Sorry to dissapoint but the print is no longer for sale ".
Now as far as im aware the seller cant do that as they accepted my offer through ebay, Not to clued up on this type of scenario so any advice would be much appreciated......

No, they can't do that. You are now the rightful owner. Best thing to do is tell them you will contact Ebay and file a claim. Then do it if he/she doesn't fold.

In the last six months, Ebay has turned into a horrible meat market full of crooks and shysters. I have a final few transaction to clear up and I'm leaving.

neates prints are class. id prefer his prints on my wall than any other artists.

Unless you go to court and can prove the seller still has the print to sell you,you have nothing....

The same way someone can buy somthing then chose not to pay....what can you do???

The quality was very good, but I just felt they lacked something, maybe because they took away some of the threedimensionfullness.......

^^agree with iwouldfollowyouanywhere. file a report and see what happens. if he has accepted your offer then he should sell it to you but has probably seen this thread and thinks he could make a couple of hundred quid more on it.

Thanks for the replys guys, Appreciate it. What annoys me is that they accepted the offer it wasnt like i won it via auction ie : the seller having no control over the final sale price. But when they accept the offer then decide to pull out within an hour hour of doing so, Well it just stinks basically.
Ill try an solve this via the nicey nicey approach with the seller, If that doesnt work then ill post there ebay id etc so the rest of the forum can be warned!!!!

Call ebay in the morning. I found their phone support to be excellent recently. They were happy to explain their procedures and only go ahead if I wanted them to. Can't hurt to call them and see where you stand. Regarding naming the seller, there can't be too many PWGs sold recently for that price, so presumably the seller in question is [glow=red]myalfiebass[/glow], I shall certainly be taking a note and avoiding his/her items in the future.

The sellers emailed me to say the reason hes pulled out of the sale is due to " ive pulled the print out from under the bed and it is no longer in mint condition" .
Obviously ive requested pics of the so called damage and await his excuse i mean response........

2) I think the seller of the print in question forgot to put a reserve on the auction and will now have to hire a herd of elephants to trample all over it just to satisfy NM in his rightful purchase, silly boy.

Funster mate, Here lies the issue the seller didnt forget to put a reserve on the auction as it wasnt an auction. It was a buy it now/best offer and HE ACCEPTED my offer of £700.00. He the proceeded to email me and we talked about payment/delivery, Then he probably went away had a shower/s**t & shave, Had a rethink and decided he no longer wanted to sell.
End of the day if hes reading this (As hes bound to be a member on here) i aint gonna just accept this type of dodgy dealing, I wouldnt do it others so i sure wont accept it done to me!!!.....
