Dean Zeus Colman π¬π§ Zeus Graffiti Artist, Streetopoly, by Prescription Art on Nov 1, 2008 0:00:36 GMT 1, The work that went into this piece is mindblowing. It's incredible... and such a strong concept as well.
Every single black mark was hand painted by dabbing two layers of black paint through a stencil or masked lines (zeus is too much of a perfectionist to use spraypaint). Even the black outline on things like 'EGO' is done the same way - rather than use a marker & ruler, which would seem more sensible! To get it completed, Zeus spent 33 hours in a room at the gallery, only pausing to sleep for an hour on some bubblewrap. I'm so proud to be showing it, as it's by far one of the most special pieces created anywhere this year. It's so good a gallery owner from Amsterdam is getting it shipped over for a show in December, and it will hopefully make some more trips after that. This shows what shit should be about - a brilliant artist with a mind full of ideas that you couldn't dream of coming up with - not someone sat behind a google image search and a photoshop filter.

Epitomizes the urban art scene, the speculation and worth of the street art scene.
Think Bansky should really be the Go square.
Quality.

Dean Zeus Colman π¬π§ Zeus Graffiti Artist, Streetopoly, by Prescription Art on Nov 4, 2008 1:42:53 GMT 1, Maybe i'm biased, but i've been living with this for a week & I think it's the best piece of art i've seen all year.
The streetopoly board & print are now available to buy online. The board is a signed edition of 30 for Β£150.... while we made the print at an ultra-low price to fit in with the concept of the piece. A signed edition of 200 for only 30 quid.

Nosbe
Bortusk
Dscreet
They'll all have Zeus throw-ups on as well when they're done. There will also be 4 by Mighty Mo, of which 2 are already sold.

Sounds a great idea for framing though. Maybe as an alternative you could pick up the original board & fix it to the floor?

The first is a completely different board game, the second is a mess. Zeus' piece is not a copy of a board game, it's the most relevent comment i've seen on the street art market in the last 2 years.

In my opinion it's just an artwork that uses a fantastic idea from 1935 and it's funny.

Dean Zeus Colman π¬π§ Zeus Graffiti Artist, Streetopoly, by Prescription Art on Nov 12, 2008 16:50:37 GMT 1, We are making original deep MDF canvases of the streetopoly squares available to purchase. Each is 56x33cm and a unique one-off. They're all, of course, completely hand-painted.
The price you pay will be the price stated on the board. i.e. a Banksy square will cost you Β£400, an Eine will cost you Β£60.
I've not uploaded all the artists yet - if there's one you want that's not listed, please feel free to order by email or phone.

Also, if anyone wants one, I have very few streetopoly boards left.
