I like copyright

i have 6 or so bits by him framed up, will he ever make it to the big time? impossible question for me to answer, his art is reasonably priced and i like it, if it goes up in price, that good, if not then its also ok.


there are lots of artists (which is a good thing) and if i had to guess, i would say only .0005% make it to the big money tree, but most hopefully have fun doing what they enjoy along the way trying to get to it, even if it always eludes them

It's strange though isn't it! Some of his work is better then some of failes stuff yet people go made for some horrid book covers!

I hope copyright becomes more popular! I know it's hard to make the big time etc but surely his popularity has to increase to some degree producing prints like sweet nothing's!

I have alot of stuff on my walls from lots of artists so I am not just biased to copyright but 3 or 4 of his pieces are the best things on my wall!

Faile is quite awful.

Used to like their stuff but its all over indulgent twaddle which has not moved on for about 5 years.

Also anything by the following artists:

Banksy
Faile
Walker
Dface
Insect

Will always get attention because of the name rather than the actual output.

On a side note... Met someone in a print queue once who used to pronounce faile like 'file'.
Its fail. If your collecting it, say it right,

Just to add i like copyright but dont always like the weird little extras like numbers or typography, it sort of makes no sense. Just spray the girl.

haha! I read that last week and no one mentioned Copyright as underrated!

I dont want this thread to turn out like that!

Just want peoples opinions on copyrights work and why people dont mention him as much as he deserves

I have liked Copyright for a long time....and I think he is progressing and trying new things. He certainly got a profile boost from the Apprentice....will be interesting to see if this gives him more confidence to try more new things!!!

I am not the biggest fan of the mash ups but that kitsune print is my favourite!

I think his profile has improved from apprentice and I know alot of his work has sold out quickly in gallery's!

I would also like to see something different! Maybe something other then prints of women and faces and maybe something completely different!

He certainly has the ability!

I think he has already made it to his 'big time'

Considering that he started with just the rose, and following a certain artist's work around London, and has since been around for about 7 years, quite successfully making prints, canvases etc, I'd say he has already reached the 'big time' for him.

Don't totally agree on the hyperbole, but in general I have to agree with the sentiment, especially on Dface and Nick Walker. very MOR. never moved anywhere. No respect from other artists. I own nothing by either.

I don't think Insect should be on the list. He (they originally) do still come up with some gems, even if the 'artistry' is minimal.

faile can also be great if you like pop art, but the constant output is too much IMO (BTW I own about 10 faile's and am certainly no faile hater...)

Regretably i need to sell my Copyright Artist proof 1/1 Kitsune.

After a long hunt for a Kitsune i got this from copyright himself. Unfortunately it just wasnt right and i desperately wanted a Kitsune red. Here is why.!



So to make some money back after buying alot recently i have to sell the Blue A/P kitsune.

If money was not an object i would keep this because its quite special and the fact i got it from copyright means even more to me.

Maybe i have to much copyright work and as a result i have had to have a clear out of alot of my unframed art to accommodate my Dal, Roamcouch etc which i need to get funds for in order to frame up!


Here is the blue Kitsune for sale!

I paid £200 for it and would let it go for that amount as i dont want to make a profit. However if i end up ebaying this print i will need at least 250 to draw even.
