Nick Walker "TMA London" last two prints sold for $ 2200 and $ 2900.

And Nick Walker "TMA Bristol" is currently at 1300 on the bay right now w/ 6 hours left.

Pretty sure the trend is going steadily in the right direction.

with Hirst's Gagosian gallery representation, they also rep Warhol estate, so by buying Banksy affilliated works you are essentially buying Warhol related works. Warhol originals are ridiculously expensive and Banksy linking up w/Hirst is probably the best thing to progress this movement into the academic realm. Don't think Banksy or any of his people are falling off anytime soon.

Don't feel bad mate, it was only available to buy in person and sold out in an hour! I got mine from a VERY generous member who let me have it for cost as he had overspent on the night!!

Cheers pud, it's just I used to be on the mailing list for most of these opening/ viewing kinda things, must have dropped off, don't spend as much time on here as I used to either!

Can't really afford ebay prices now as I'm trying to sell not buy (wedding looming..!) so may have to swerve this one unless can get a swap going.

It seems alot of prices have gone up in the last 24 hours, urbanangel, campB, auct sab etc have all seen prices of certain things skip up a bit, Nikers on e-bay finnishing in a couple of hours....

Crazy stuff - one of Guy Dennings went for 8 grand when there's still some of his works available elsewhere for 1-3 grand!
Was surprised at how high the Adam Neate stuff went for too.
Looks like the big boys are getting in on the collecting.

The worlds gone mad!!

That aside I do feel that the sort of people that bought/collect and sell high end pieces of the YBA's and the like have really bought into the cool and awfully named world and work of 'Urban' art/artists.

We are talking about a large number of people who have a vast amount of money.

It' just the fact that some people are lucky enough if they can afford a £300 quid print. The vast magority of buyers last night can afford to pay in excess of 5k+ and not have to think about the morgage payment this month.

The reason why cos they paid outright for their £3+ million pound house in the City or huge mansion in rural Gloucestershire.

The prices are still low enough for collectors to regard the work as a lottery ticket in the greater scheme of things. They are all after the next big thing and sub $50k prices are a tempting target. Where they seem to have overpaid, well they aren't going to buy off ebay in a million years and this way they get auction house prov so they see it as money well spent.

Buy hey ho. Life goes on. And it's gone to a very good home to someone on this forum who wanted this print more than anything for his collection.

Got my health and still have some great art so can't complain

Strange thing is the morning after Bristol which was an original 1of 1, was up to last night, only on hold at carmichael gallery, it was $18,000. sold now though.

I bought a TMA London three weeks ago for £850 on ebay - really pleased, it's something I wat to keep and enjoy -but then the framers creased it!!!! >:(They are paying for a replacement, which I've just got for £1120, so I bet they're glad I bought it before the Bonhams sale!

This whole things is frankly ridiculous. Nikers going for over £300 on the bay just shows how shallow this scene is. Don't try and tell me that everyone has woken up this morning and decided they like Nick Walker all of a sudden. Two completely out of kilter prices for two of his pieces and everyone is going Walker mad.

I'm pleased for nick because he is a great guy by all accounts and has been grafting for years. But the last 24 hours have been absurd.

When Bristol TMA came out bought a couple as my girlfriend has a jewellery shop in St. Nick's market in Bristol - something a bit different and local on the wall, has been there since it was released - framed at £650 no interest until last week, bloke had seen it over Christmas and had been looking for something unusual and Bristolian for his sons first birthday....lucky kid and well timed father....I have the £40 deposit and he is going to collect it on Friday....my % profit is good... but he is going to be amazed at what his print is now worth.....or not another week and it will be yet another price
