I have to agree with Lobster, it's insane that this print would sell in line with some of the poorer and higher edition number Banksy's. I would far sooner display this than a big pink ring!!

As there was a great deal of effort required to aquire these and they don't come up that often , IMO they are pretty sought after. If I had one I would not let it go for 4k.

Agreed mate. I was offered close to 10k for mine a few years back, could have sold and bought another and made a few grand, but.. wouldn't be the same one. So held onto it.

These were going for £4k 18+ months ago, with the likes of vlh, s&s, cyw and donuts now fetching around that price, logic would say this has surely gone up in value?

Last week on ebay a S & S sold for £4200 and there is one about to finish at £3700 already - that is a new (ish ) print and an edition of 500.

Why on earth this is not worth more is beyond me although to be fair £5K + is a fair chunk of money for people to pull up ?

Not so sure as prices have been dropping recently... For example:
That stop and search (lobster mentioned) finished at £3650 which is odd if it was at £3700 when he posted. Must have been some shill bidding going on?

A black and white trolleys Sold for £3550 at a similar time.

In these times of recession and uncertainty over jobs etc.. I think prices have come down.

I think a vlh sold for £3650 last weekend too. This is also a considerable drop v 12-18 months ago.

Expresso beans is the best place to check. But a lot of people follow auctions and keep an eye on prices, in the hope of picking up a bargain.

If you are on ebay searching 'banksy' you can tick the checkbox on the left hand side entitled 'completed listings'
you can then view finsihed auctions and see what they have sold for..

Yes it was a great effort for original owners who went to Bethlehem to get one, in this instance the op didnt, and they do come up often!! To be fair alot of them werent in mint condition because they were printed on chromolux paper and sent out tubed, so they ended up with handling and rolling dinks!!

I actually did go to a lot of effort to get one - I met someone in a car park in Watford which trust me was a struggle (!!) and the other one I paid someone to go to Bristol but am not really sure what the relevance of that is to the price of the print ? Surely it is about how the print was originally sold - if I was the original owner does that suddenly make it worth more - I dont think so ?

If they do come up " often " I have not seen one on either here or from memory at any of the recent urban auctions and there are only 112 of them ?

Seems like lobster is getting some grief over this. I nearly bought this as I thought it was a great print at a great price. The only think that stopped me was I don't think it would sit side by side as well as my CYW QJG and a orange CYW that I am buying instead.

Considering selling my gold flag (didn't have COA last time I thought about it)

Framed under clearvue UV protective glass. With pest control cert & I have all my original documentation etc from SG in Bethlehem.

As its framed would prefer a uk sale and I can deliver myself rather than using a courier or can remove from the frame and post in the mount & backing to protect it better. Wouldn't like to roll it into tube.

Gold Flag for sale framed to museum standards by Gary (MFM).

Always amazed at how much cheaper these older signed prints go for compared to the newer prints.

Signed , Edition of 112 and originally you had to go to Bethlehem to get one - just for the completists I didn't go to Bethlehem but bought it on the secondary market from Dunstable which was probably more stressful !!!

Would really like to add money for another signed Banksy  HAND , BME or a HM Watercolour but of course cash is good.

Apologies for the shocking photo - the print really is immaculate and of course inspection welcome !!!

Lovely much under rated print (imho) - need them to have been well looked after though because of the chromalux paper
