hot off the press... here's a sneak peek of my latest screen print editions released this Friday (15th) at www.k-guy.co.uk

BEAUTIFUL WORLD: I've always been a big fan of hooking up with other artists and this piece is my interpretation of Schoony's Boy Soldier sculpture which was recently used as the cover art and poster campaign for the Tiesto + Mark Knight single (Toolroom Records).

With my increasing passion for making screen print editions as unique as possible, this set is not exactly hand finished but hand started. There's a nice mix up of coloured paper, distressed gold and metal leaf and some aerosol laid down to create some cool texture and colour combos. Finished with a 2 colour screen print with varnish in editions of only 15, priced at £120.00, signed numbered and blind stamped.

No, was just being lighthearted. I was looking at K Guys shop and saw the Coke Moss prints and thought a Red White & Blue one would look good thats all, no big deal no ulterior motive not being sarcastic, just saying.

Apologies, I think I must of been having a sense of humour by-pass when I wrote my previous. The funny thing is me and Pam Glew had a chat at the beginning of last year about doing a collab with my Kate on her bleached flags but for one reason or another we never got it on. Would of looked good I reckon.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this but the long and short of it is yes, fundamentally it's not my image. As you probably know Schoony is primarily a 3D artist/sculptor and this is my 2D interpretation. I guess a good analogy is Dface using Classic Marvel images and giving them his twist.

The way this has evolved is slightly confusing I agree, It was created as cover art first (pic below) and then a screen print second. When I was asked to do the cover art I tried a few different things but eventually succumbed to the fact that Schoony's Boy Soldier image was perfect, I buzzed him and he gave me the green light to do my thing.
