Hmmm, I always thought this original wallpaper was much more desirable than the officially sanctioned mass produced one with biblical names. This is the stuff they had installed in the restaurant of the same name correct? I believe that's why there are still pieces and roles of this around.

The only wallpaper ever sold, including at the infamous Sotheby's sale, was the biblical edition as far as I know.

There seems to be less of the biblical stuff around than the other so that might be the one to have.

I think other criteria were selling it at £1000 a roll so that's hardly surprising.

that's because the biblical edition is the sanctioned edition, 16 rolls of which sold at Sotheby's for £20k and then it was reprinted in an edition of 1,000 rolls, which is what is available from Other criteria

Back in the day I had a square of pharmacy wall paper for sale on eBay and Hirsts representative’s (or someone pretending) purchased it and threatened me with legal action claiming it was stolen.

Up in the Hirst pharmacy cafe at Newport street gallery at the moment. Anyone know if this was created for the currency show or was it there beforehand?

Apparently the whole "pharmacy" is an art installation and it used to be a restaurant where Damien lives (I forgot the place name) but they moved it and made it into a cafe.

It’s been there since the gallery opened - was a restaurant with chef Mark Hix but now it’s been switched to just a cafe. Based on the original Pharmacy restaurant.
