Damien • Opium, by craigf on May 26, 2008 10:14:07 GMT 1, There was one on ebay a couple of weeks or so ago for £4k (but reserve was higher)
I would love a Valium for the wall (although not sure if I have one big enough!)

Damien • Opium, by chablis on May 26, 2008 11:04:54 GMT 1, If your pocket doesn't quite run to a Hirst (mine certainly doesn't) you could do as I have and pick up a Dotmaster.
www.c6.org/leon/large_image/hirst.htm
The Beejoir equivalent of the Hirst is as dear as the Hirst, so probably a non starter.
www.campbarbossa.com/product_info.php?cPath=37_27&products_id=67
I am sure there are a few other artists offerrings too.
But I guess only a Hirst will fill that spot (excuss the punn). A word of caution though, when looking for the Hirst, there have been a few dodgy ones being passed off as originals, make sure you get cast iron provenance if you ever get to point where you are buying. Even from apparently reputable sources.

Damien • Opium, by craigf on May 26, 2008 11:27:39 GMT 1, It has to be a Hirst for me (and I also don't have a spare £5k so would need to make sacrifices on the print side including maybe a few prized pieces). I read about the problems with these prints and knock offs, which somewhat worries me as you can buy a small car for the same price as this piece of paper!

Many thanks again.

Damien • Opium, by sharpy on Jun 4, 2008 12:17:43 GMT 1, Hi, does anyone know what the difference between Opium and LSD is. I saw an LSD sold on eBay for £2300 and was wondering why it is so much cheaper than the only Opium, which £4500 BIN.
Thx for any help....

Thought everyone knew that!

LOL ;D
There are a few dot prints on ebay at the moment, not sure if one was a bargain and the other normal price? The one I think you are refering to has been in its tube all its life which put me off (plus I want one of the round ones, but they are huge so don't really have anywhere to hang it)

Damien • Opium, by Winter on Jun 4, 2008 19:00:35 GMT 1, Careful buying these off ebay. Some friends of mine were sold a fake Valium. When I bought my Opium from Eyestorm in 2000 it came between 2 sheets of perspex which I believe was the norm. Pretty cool too.

Damien • Opium, by Winter on Jun 22, 2009 23:25:09 GMT 1, I don't remember what I offered it for to be honest. I've been offered £3.5k by Eyestorm. Just thought I share it with the forum as Eyestorm will obviously add a cut on top of this.

What are the dimensions (with and without frame)? Is this cash only or are you accepting trades / part cash?
