shep's elephant dropping, by Francis on Apr 12, 2009 19:10:01 GMT 1, They should take a leaf out of POW's books, really not difficult to implement a stronger ordering system to cope with the large volumes of traffic, any investment now would be more than offset by the good of a strong customer experience, believe me Why would Shep care? Regardless of how absolutely sh**ty the experience, EVERY print sells out in a matter of an hour. It would be mere minutes but for that fact that their servers suck so much azz that it takes a while to process the sell out... Reminds me of a story... ... of this guy who F5'ed for 8 f**king hours from the Google Campus in Nor Cal. The print dropped, kid got through to PayPal in a matter of a minute... and then spent 1 F**KING HOUR trying to get back to Obey for confirmation... and then funny enough, he finally got through to the confirmation page... and his cart was empty and the print... SOLD OUT Friends, that "guy" is me and all I have to say is F**K OBEY! I would much rather give me $$$ to artists with real talent that appreciate & create rather than duplicate the SAME CRAP every other week but for the occasionally exceptional print... such as Elephant Peace. Been waiting for months for this to drop so bitter boy say what Happy Easter to one & all... except for Fairey ;D
You work for Google? Why didn't you just ask Sergey or Eric to hook it up for you?

I spent quite a bit of time in their Mountain View campus. Great cafeteria and loved playing volleyball at lunchtime. In hindisight, I should have accepted their job offer 3 years ago

Yes, you should have...
I work for a software co. based in AZ. We've been partners with Google on many fronts over the last 5-6 years, so I have spent more than my fair share of time on the Google campus as well... It's P I M P, no two ways around it. Absolutely a cool place to work, but prepared to work

shep's elephant dropping, by Deleted on Apr 25, 2009 17:48:11 GMT 1, Mine's not arrived yet, one of three prints I'm waiting to arrive from the States. I've resigned myself to the inevitable hostage letter from Parcel Force.

shep's elephant dropping, by Deleted on May 2, 2009 12:04:11 GMT 1, Well, after two weeks and having paid the inevitable ParcelForce ransom demand and then negotiated collected the tube myself from the post office, it's arrived and it is a stunner. An absolute, 100%, stunner. It is going straight to the framers this afternoon.
I've got that little smirk on my face. You know, the one you all know. The 'I've just landed a corker' smirk. Lovely.
Will get a photo or two up later.
