Yeah, I was joking around. I have quite a few choe prints (76 editions) so I'm a fan as well.

David Choe-Obama Print Out Now!(AND ANOTHER), by rosstierney on Aug 20, 2008 21:12:07 GMT 1, David Cameron VS Obama ! Sort of different don't you think ? Possibly the first black President of the USA, and possibly the man to lead the US out of the mire that it's in (and the "War on Terror"). I think many here are underestimating the importance culturally of this. It's not like it's a poster for another white, upper class Tory!!
i was waiting for this
what ever happened to 'see beyond skin colour'
it's a convenient term don't you think?

David Choe-Obama Print Out Now!(AND ANOTHER), by melmoth on Aug 20, 2008 21:50:44 GMT 1, I hope more than anything that Obama wins, but i'm reluctant to pin my hopes for the future of the planet on someone who hasn't actually revealed any policies yet.
Who hasn't revealed any policies? Obama?
If that's your view, frankly you're talking out of your arse.
Obama's website is overflowing with policy documents. In stark contrast to McCain's site.

David Choe-Obama Print Out Now!(AND ANOTHER), by goffy on Aug 20, 2008 21:59:20 GMT 1, I can't believe the stupid moronic comments posted on this thread. D'uh, I wouldn't want a picture of Cameron on my wall. SHUT UP. First of all, I bought the second Choe/Obama print and I live in the UK. Artistically I think it is an excellent piece by Choe and something I think will look great framed and on my wall. Secondly, don't underestimate the importance of the fact that Obama could be the first black American president. And like Choe said, he has the problems and the hopes of the world on his shoulders should he be elected. Not only is this a great piece by Choe but could be a part of world history. He may well f**k up in office, after all it is America, a place we you could be voted out purely for not believing in god. But I hope he gets the chance to try and make the world a better place. Whether you like it or not the American President is the most powerful man in the world.

David Choe-Obama Print Out Now!(AND ANOTHER), by Happy Shopper on Aug 20, 2008 22:11:42 GMT 1, David Cameron VS Obama ! Sort of different don't you think ? I think many here are underestimating the importance culturally of this. It's a symbol of seeing beyond skin colour. That's the point.

Um, No. I ment to say he's black... and that's culturally important. Obama's success is a living symbol of the world, or at least the USA, changing attitudes... there's "Hope", and that's what it's about. It's far bigger than his policies and, in that sense, it won't change if he loses.
That's why I may hang a portrait of him on my wall, and not David Cameron.

I started to type that earlier, but figured it was too obvious coming from me.
He was in Seattle recently and it was like the Beatles got back together.

David Choe-Obama Print Out Now!(AND ANOTHER), by Gentle Mental on Aug 21, 2008 4:20:42 GMT 1, I took a quick browse of Obama's Dreams of My Father (A book he wrote long before...)
I wasn't able to put it down.
No politician can write that well.
They can act in hollywood movies, they can play the sax, or have affairs with interns and Marilyn Monroe, or invade nations for oil in the name of freedom, but they cannot write this well.
It's not in their DNAs - The same reason why pigs can't fly.
As a politician, Obama is different in many ways, and the colour of his skin is the LEAST of his differences.
He's a new variant of politicians that evolved the incompetencies of the current administration. He has wings. He flies.
He's not a pig. (I genuinely hope so.)

David Choe-Obama Print Out Now!(AND ANOTHER), by craigf on Aug 21, 2008 6:57:08 GMT 1, Only just picked up this thread and in line with a number of you I don't rate the first, but can appreciate the second, which for me has elements of a Denning piece. There are however other Choe pieces that I like more that are still not in my possession so this is quite far down my want list for no reason other than some of his early prints float my boat more ;D

not Babe from Babe in the City, and Babe the Movie - em pigs i like very much.
But you knew that already.
