Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by mred on Nov 8, 2007 16:50:45 GMT 1, Pug - Great to hear you are pleased with your Morning After print as I have said before it is a cracker. Cannot wait to get mine back from framer although work means it could be another week unless I can manage to shot into town after work next few days. Will post as soon as I pick it up.
Loucastel have you emailed Nick about the Vandal print, sometimes with largish run the artist does not produce all of the prints in one go, Out of Stock might mean current run all sold out but still some left in complete edition. Nick can let you know and if still some left in the edition when they might be available. I have one which I love, posted bad picture of framed version over on Nick's forum but not here until now. Now proudly displayed in hallway.

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by buster on Nov 8, 2007 17:10:58 GMT 1, Here's my vandal and I love it, some of Nick's stuff leavesme cold ( alot of the mona stuff for example) but other stuff grabs you by the nuts and waggles you about like a lap dancing frog. Some of the small canvases are excellent too.

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by mred on Nov 8, 2007 17:18:27 GMT 1, I think we are all in a bit of trouble with Nick, especially if all the Morning After series comes out in print. I for one have not found one I do not like, lets hope there is a little time between each release although without the hype some other people feel obliged to drum up.
The other thing that worries me is that there are couple of other artist due to release that I am keen to buy as well. Anyone got the six numbers for Saturday as that is the only thing that is going to save me!!!

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by mred on Nov 9, 2007 13:11:54 GMT 1, Glad to hear Nick has got back to everyone about status of Vandal triptych, had feeling Out of Stock was only temporary thing.
Guess getting one from Nick must be smart move if you can wait as you will save yourself between £75 and £350, which you can put towards next Morning After version ;D ;D. I wonder what edition number they are up to now?
I am hoping to sneak into town this afternoon and pick up my Morning After print from framer (Niche). Cannot bear the wait, first time gone for white frame so a bit nervous about end result. If plan comes off will post picture later.

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by mred on Nov 9, 2007 13:40:14 GMT 1, Shower Nick did not send mine out managed to arrange to pick it up locally.
That said normally Nick is pretty quick although obviously last couple of weeks probably been a bit mental with 99 prints to process and send out along with his day job of creating great art.
Cannot really say whether it will come in time for you going back to Uni but to be honest would it not be safer at home. I know I went to uni a long time ago and the memories are a bit vague probably because of the booze but most things I took got trashed by me or my so called fellow students
Out of interest where's uni and what are you studying?

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by shower on Nov 9, 2007 13:48:01 GMT 1, lol yeah i wouldnt risk it at uni, too much of a risk! your memories may be vague but they arent too far off, although my housemates are safe. i was just hoping on it arriving so i could take it to the framers, if not it can wait til christmas or i will get the rents on it!
im currently at sheffield uni in my 3rd year doing human geography. currently writing my dissertation on graffiti so spending time on here and buying prints sort of counts as research! where did you go when you were there?

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by mred on Nov 9, 2007 14:01:14 GMT 1, Too long ago, please do not take offense, but what is Human Geography in lay man's terms? Sounds cool if it means you can spend time looking at graffiti and buying prints.
I went to university in London, did Electronics Engineering graduated in late 80s. Climbed the greasy pole for next 15 years having some cracking fun along the way as well as taking a fair bit of ****. Few years ago packed it all in and now support people with learning difficulties live the lives they want. Probably harder job than engineering and for about third of the money although occasionally you can make a real difference.

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by shower on Nov 9, 2007 14:12:07 GMT 1, thats cool, its nice that you are making a difference! +1 for the that!
human geog is nothing you will imagine unless you are studying it! its a mix of geography, sociology, architecture, urban planning, psychology, economics, philosophy and a few other things. and is very heavy on the concepts of space and place! this year im doing my dissertation and learning about consumption and consumption patters. then in feb i start development studies, so about africa and the underdeveloped world, im off to new york to look at urban planning and i have to write an essay. for the essay i may choose punk rock and look at the protest side to it, its actually inked back to the same origins of graffiti in some way!

Only joking, I am only glad that camera phones had not been invented when I was at uni and as result no record of various toga parties as well as a charity appearance as a Nolan Sister, very messy.
Hug's your mate did me proud although attached photos do not do it justice. Once again did not see the man himself but will definitely use them again.

Nick Walker - The Morning After Print, by mred on Nov 9, 2007 17:23:38 GMT 1, Jellya - your assumption is correct. The more people I mention Niche to the more positive feedback I get. First time I have used them but do not think it will be the last.
Chuffed I decided to go with white frame as fits in well with the room and lets the print do the talking.
Just wish I could get some pictures that do it justice, may try again next few days.
