The FAILE Refunds Thread, by romanywg on Sept 12, 2007 22:24:48 GMT 1, Received a mail from Faile just now. "We are packing up your order and noticed you havent yet been refunded for part of your order we could not fill. This is for the Ganesha Torment II. You will still be recieving the Savage Dreams F-Head print soon. Packed and ready to ship". Bit late in the day to find out, but still happy to be picking up the one I really wanted badly. Anyone else received late news?

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by romanywg on Sept 13, 2007 9:34:38 GMT 1, I paid by paypal and was refunded on 2 of the 3 prints. Can't see that I've lost anything on the refunds though. Certainly not anywhere near £100. How come some people have lost so much?

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by mcnuts on Sept 13, 2007 9:42:35 GMT 1, 1 refund and 100GBP out of pocket. Large amount as i tried for an orignal. I phoned paypal to try and claim and they said that if a refund is done AFTER 24hrs their currency rates change and you are subject again to fees. In short,, had refunds been done in 24hrs we would not have had this problem. Here is the response from PayPal:
Thank you for contacting PayPal.
If you send a payment using PayPal that is refunded, denied or cancelled the amount returned to you may be different from the amount you sent. This is due to the fluctuation in exchange rate.
PayPal is not a currency dealer and therefore must purchase foreign currencies from its bank. PayPal receives a quoted wholesale rate from its bank (twice a day), and adds a 2.5% spread above this rate to determine the retail foreign exchange rate that is applied to customers who make a transaction that involves a currency conversion.
Please note:
· When a payment is refunded, denied, or cancelled within 24 hours of initiating the payment, you will be credited the exact same amount · When it has been over 24 hours, the conversion rate may fluctuate causing a different amount to be credited · Any loss in conversion rate fees is due to normal market fluctuation. PayPal is not able to reimburse for loss due to conversion rate differences If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.
Sincerely, A. Thief PayPal Resolution Services PayPal, an eBay Company

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by romanywg on Sept 13, 2007 10:07:29 GMT 1, On the 28th August I paid out $840 and was credited with £429.70. Yesterday I was credited with £402.96 for another print that was $840. Today the exchange rate for $840 is £414 so I am £4.66 better off! Don't suppose I'll be getting one of those freebie prints.

seeing as they've got to make it and are working on their next set for November release...I'd thought there'll a decent sized wait involved for these..but what a nice surprise it'll be
