So difficult to get a feel for this piece without seeing it in the flesh. Firstly, it's pretty large, but also the textured aspect must be crazy up close. Would love to have seen it in the flesh.

and to you, you may have seen me, my missus had the baby that started howling (or that may have been me, at the price of the thing).

I wasn't there. I called in, and they oversold what I reserved. Will see if they have anything for me tomorrow to make up for it!
Any close up pics of the one you purchased, the ones in the preview probably didnt do it justice at all!

I tend to agree from the very limited pics seen here, and not into Miss Bugs myself. Looks like was a successful show, and lot of demand for the work though.

Were those eye chart things counted as originals at that price? They look a bit pants, IMO. Some of the other canvases look very nice though. Particurlaly like the one with the brillo wings (well, I'll call them wings at any rate). Still don't really "get" Miss Bugs though.

well they look rubbish in the photos so must be well over priced. can someone explain what is going on here?

Miss Bugs 5th June Brighton, by alsbabar on Jun 5, 2008 22:28:10 GMT 1, for a first show, to charge the prices they did, is a fucking joke
The eye things were fucking awful - the other prints were ok, but couldnt get the set of 3, without having to pay for the shit framing also - at £300 each or £180 per print (but you can only but 1 per person). First 10 people in the queue, could get all 3 sets.
Nothing nice to say, as I drove a long way expecting to see something much better - to miss out on a Faile release just fucked me off even more

I believe they were, 470 framed. they were of course the last thing to go, bought by the desperate and the insane.

Shut up you grumpy cunt and get over it - you don't like it. Cool. You think it's overpriced? Fairplay, but then you didn't buy any so what does it matter? You want to spend £400 on a Faile Ed of 160 - grand - so did many and they missed out too...
Take a fucking breath, sit down, pour yourself a glass of something lovely, peruse all the lovely things on your walls and ...breeeeeath!
Peace

I wouldn't loose too much sleep over it alsbabar, the faile wasn't much better for a 160 ed.
