NEATE LONDON PIECE FOR AUCTION £1 & 1 DAY, by alsbabar on Nov 17, 2008 2:25:20 GMT 1, jboy, i think that a quite a fair few people, now the dust has settled, probably consider how your finds are dominating the whole giveaway thing - and to have some listed on ebay - kind of rubs their noses in it, especially to those who came back empty handed. If you had no intention of keeping any of them, then you could/should have left them alone and possibly given a heads up to the location of a piece.
If you are listing one for charity then ALL the proceeds should go to charity(ies) - as your gesture is kind of half hearted, as you still come out making a tidy sum

For the (stuck) record, I personally don't give a toss about people selling these.

NEATE LONDON PIECE FOR AUCTION £1 & 1 DAY, by Wearology on Nov 17, 2008 2:30:44 GMT 1, I just went on ebay and read they have over 20 Adam Neate prints found on the streets of England for sale. It seems that many people went out on this scavenger hunt not for the love of the game but for the profit's they may achieve. To isolate JBOY is unfair, although he is a controversial figure on our forum he is a welcome voice for those who chose to voyeur these threads.

Well if thats the case, then just 'walk on by'. ignorance can sometimes be bliss.

i know ALB, i think its a point of principle really for me. Does adding the charity angle inflate the price even more? Does saying it is signed, when it isnt, add more value to the piece? It is all relative to the perception to the bidder.
Onetrickpony - in this case ignorance isnt bliss - ignorance is paying too much for something that isnt clear!!

If you bothered to read my posts, you'd know that all I'm concerned with is JBOY knowingly deceiving buyers into believing the item he is selling is signed when he knows perfectly well it is not.
Ignorance of such deception can hardly be called bliss.

I think your blowing this all out of proportion (just because its Jboy I believe). He has said he will amend his sale and those buying I would imagine would already know the Stats of this print anyway.
My figure of speech was not meant to be referring to 'Jboys deception' (your words) they were referring to your comment that you didn't care if jboy was selling. I was simply saying "well ignore if you dont care"
I dont want you picking holes in what I'm saying as well as Jboys sale, I've said my bit, I'm out!
Laters!!!

NEATE LONDON PIECE FOR AUCTION £1 & 1 DAY, by arcam on Nov 17, 2008 3:18:15 GMT 1, Look if you'd bought a print that was advertised as being signed by Banksy only to find it just had his tag you'd be pretty pissed no? This is no different. This only become an issue because JBOY made it into one. All he had to do was amended his listing. But instead he tried to justify it.

"On 17-Nov-08 at 00:43:06 GMT, seller added the following information:
Just to add it is signed with Adam Neates stamp in the bottom left as in the picture, not on the right as stated"
Give me a break........what does that tell anyone other than the stamp is in the left not the right? You still don't clarify that Adam never signed them, nor even point out that it wasn't him that stamped them.

NEATE LONDON PIECE FOR AUCTION £1 & 1 DAY, by loucastel on Nov 17, 2008 9:56:49 GMT 1, I cant believe some of the crap that has been posted on here, I think a lot of it is picking holes just because it is jboy, no other reason, why dont all of you having a go chase the person who picked up NINE, not a lot has been said about that, signed/unsigned/stamped, I'm bloody sure people who are buying these know exactly what they are buying. There is not a lot of love lost between jboy and myself, but on this occasion I salute you for your gestures to the two charity's.
