Advice , by shambles79 on Aug 4, 2024 15:25:28 GMT 1, Just looking for advice really. I’m not an expert in the art market but I really like Banksy and have been fortunate enough to get a sale ends v 2 and agile print. It’s been a blessing because I’m not very well and it should I Hope provide me with a nest egg in the future. I’m just a bit worried about owning two incase something should happen to the Banksy market or something happens to the print. I’m not so worried about the agile as it comes in a sturdy box which I use to store it in if I’m not around. I’m just at the point where I’m seeking advice on whether I should hold out and hope the market improves, diversify and get what I can for the sale ends and sink the money In bitcoin. Iike I said I’m not expert , but I’d really appreciate people advise what I should do. If I should sell, best way to sell the sale ends and if bitcoin is worth investing in . I know it’s a gamble but bitcoin does not seem to be going away . Many thanks

Advice , by ck1 on Aug 4, 2024 19:04:11 GMT 1, I hope you get better. True advice - do not ask strangers for investment advice. Ever. Either do a lot of research for yourself or go to a trained brilliant trusted professional. But since you ask - if your only real investments are bitcoin and banksys (I assume you are young) I would sell all of it and get an ETF/index fund or a house to live in. (This was not investment advice)

Advice , by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Aug 4, 2024 21:29:17 GMT 1, Mate, I hope you get better and as the old saying goes 'health is wealth'! It is a nice situation to have two great prints. It doesn't matter what happens with the market, the way I always look at it is that you only paid 500 pounds each for them. Sell the Sale Ends and invest in your health and your family. Holidays, kids school and sport, upgrade the house or car etc.. you still have the fragile print which is awesome and get that up on the wall and enjoy it as life really is too short. 👍 Also don't forget most artists prices have come down also, so a portion of your profit you could spend on a piece by another artist you like which is now a lot cheaper than years ago also.. good luck with everything 👍

Advice , by mandem on Aug 5, 2024 8:55:01 GMT 1, It doesn't matter what happens with the market, the way I always look at it is that you only paid 500 pounds each for them. I agree with this; everyone holding art has the 'stick or twist' dilemma.
Three years ago even entry-level Banksy prints were £30k, now you'll find them for £10k. But if you paid less than that, you're winning.
I regret not selling at £30k, but won't sell at £10k, and live in hope of prices recovering slightly. That'd be eaten by 5 months rent, and I'd have nothing on the wall to look at!
As above, though, dont take financial advice from randoms. I hope your health improves or, if that's possible, that you remain pain-free.

Advice , by Acme Thunderer on Aug 5, 2024 11:43:49 GMT 1, If you got both the Sale Ends and Agile in the lotteries (which I think you did), then I would be buying a few lottery tickets.
If you have to sell one (for your personal circumstances), then 100% keep the Agile. You don’t want to sell this until the market picks up significantly.
If you are thinking about investing in Bitcoin and want security then don’t touch crypto as your Banksy’s are much safer.

Advice , by its all about me on Aug 5, 2024 11:57:48 GMT 1, Sorry to hear you are not well. Hope things aren't as bad as you think. Anyway, here's my own advice...
I would never invest in BItcoin. One day they can be worth thousands; the next, they are practically worthless.
If you are looking for money to fall back on, then I'm not convinced that buying and selling art (including Banksy) is the way to go.
If you are looking at art as simply an investment and don't even put it up on your walls then there are much better things to consider. Maybe do some research on diamonds or gold bullion or stocks and shares. Or even buying a cheap flat, do it up and then rent it out. Or go round car boot fairs. You often hear people in the know, who buy an ornament for £1.50 and sell it for a few thousand.
But whatever you do, do your own research. Don't listen to what people (including me) say on here. :-)
