Banksy Tree Mural • North London, by Happy Shopper on Mar 20, 2024 11:54:17 GMT 1, It isn't permanent. Its graffiti, people will add to it, parts will be covered, etc. Let it happen. Shame if it ends up looking a mess though.

Banksy Tree Mural • North London, by mojo on Mar 20, 2024 12:05:48 GMT 1, If the green is water soluble paint surely it is going to naturally disappear anyway over time? I'd just stick a bit of perspex over the figure, if so inclined.
It's probably someone that lives in the flats getting pissed off with all the visitors and attention they are suddenly getting? Looks like what's left of an old tin of white emulsion from under the sink.

Banksy Tree Mural • North London, by loui on Mar 20, 2024 12:16:41 GMT 1, I am no troll and am not discrediting the achievements of banksy at all. I think good things have been done and awareness has been raised. I am however extremely disappointed by the people who are now trying to put a face to banksy. They are not succeeding. At all. And that is because they are not so much concerned with making the world a better place for everyone as they are with themselves. And you bet the old banksy guys feel the same way. Sorry, loui you misunderstood me. I would never call you a troll! I was actually referring to Atom Gallery 's comment "B is copying others, its vandalism, its not art, its just shit etc. many of the accounts seemed to have just been made, very strange". Trolls like to hide behind newly created anonymous accounts! Yes that’s my experience with trolls also.

Banksy Tree Mural • North London, by loui on Mar 20, 2024 12:20:30 GMT 1, It's always easier to destroy than to create (except when making a baby compared to strangling a fully grown adult), and I have little respect for folk who go out of their way to make something, anything, look worse, just because they feel like it. And I get it, some will argue that Banksy made the building look worse in the first place, we all have opinions. I can't stand paint-chuckers though. My 80-year-old gran was attacked by a paint chucker once. Knocked her clean off her bike and put her in hospital. Ok, it wasn't paint, it was liquid cow poo, but it still dried on like paint. Ever since then, I've been like - if you're not making a nice picture with it, you're just making a situation worse. And society is unattractive enough without folk urinating over everything they don't like or understand. How do you know it’s so much easier to destroy then to create?

Banksy Tree Mural • North London, by reg on Mar 20, 2024 12:28:27 GMT 1, This is a very large example of a street piece undertaken by one of the greatest artists of our time. Under cover of darkness, overnight and seemingly not captured on any camera.
The message can be debated but the placing of the art behind the tree, setting it as a frame is nothing short of incredible.
Like him or not, love the piece or not, this should have been protected and preserved sooner before dickheads throw paint in a hissy fit.

Or youths, old men hating Banksy, graffiti writers, fans of team Robbo, etc etc … Honestly, considering the size, the meaning, the painting drops, and the matter of the artwork, it has not shocked me. I did not imagine at all this painting under Perspex .. Why ? Trees as graffiti’s, live and sleep, depending of the seasons…

Looks like a solid buy though Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the green stuff that was on it. Seemed to wash off pretty easily though.

His second point I would agree with, how is he ignoring what is going on in Gaza, after all the work he is put in there?
