Thanks for the heads up and just had a look and there is tonnes of stuff there, but the prices before the sale are insane and if I’m honest even after their discounts the price are still way too high. When are these galleries/resellers going to listen to the market? Frustrating

I think he needs to stick to framing!

I was considering getting a few pieces framed and they're pretty local to me, but if this is what I can expect of their pricing then I think I'll look elsewhere.

I had something framed by him. Price was actually fairly reasonable, but the results were extremely underwhelming. The corners were awful and when I came to deframe the piece later, the spec was very much not what we'd agreed, and it was definitely not 'archival'. Oh and it took bloody ages.

Very disappointing - I'd never use him again.

Expensive , resellars are just greedy at the moment, flipping art isn't what it used to be , look at the for sale section a lot isn't even selling at retail. Priced too high and have been for a while , hopefully an adjustment coming soon.

I personally have no problem with the framer or starting up a sideline business if selling on, I just wish ( like a lot of my own clients for that matter ) that they knew and understood the economic climate and made their prices sensible. They are not alone though as I see lots trying to sell and pieces that would sell but at the right price, not 2021-2022 prices. Either way let’s hope for a great 2024 where we can all love the art we buy and hopefully as an investment too!

Yes and at our (the customers) expense. Tarnishes their framing business reputation quite frankly. And I can’t speak for how good that ever was.

Unfortunately Mark @ PFG don’t always know which way round the artwork should be displayed. 🤣

He must have played Space Invaders lying down and saw the screen like this.

In defence of PFG (who I don’t know) the Invader Albino print is actually signed and numbered on the side of the print, so the way it is displayed on the photo is how you would expect it to normally look (signed on the bottom) 

He’s not the only one to make this error, MYARTDEALERS show it this way as well as Roseberys auctions.

Not all of them were signed/numbered on the side as I owned one.

Afraid there is no defence for ignorance as it is still the wrong way round regardless whether Invader signed on the side. There are no rules for where signatures should appear, but Space Invaders do not shoot sideways. 😉

All of the signed Invader Homework’s (before Albino) were signed/numbered on the side as well, but no one rotates these.

Recognising that freedom of speech exists and there are many sides/dimensions to that particular issue, what Eine posted was not within the bounds of common decency. It was surprising and disappointing to see PFG242 liking that particular post.  They are welcome to their views but I can’t do business with people like that.

I did message PFG about it myself. It seems they liked the post without actually reading it as it was Ben Eine. They then immediately unliked it.
