BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by Terry Fuckwitt on Jul 20, 2023 11:25:22 GMT 1, You're getting your beautiful English seaside towns mixed up, that's Margate Doh!! Quite right Terry! Oh well, the Talk Art podcast still worth a listen Haha, I wasn't trying to be pedantic, I just had images of coach loads of UAA members travelling to Hastings this weekend😂

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by My Name is Frank on Jul 20, 2023 14:26:15 GMT 1, Yeah the voices on quotes were really annoying, very cliched and Brooker wannabe Brooker stole that idea from Eurotrash! Haha, The eurotrash voice overs were brilliant! What I meant by Brooker was a sort of snearing, I'm better than you so will present you as a lower class than me voiceover. The eurotrash ones were just pure comedy. Thanks for the reminder, put a smile on my face

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by sandinista on Jul 20, 2023 19:00:18 GMT 1, I enjoyed the parts with steph but the rest was Meh imho, if you're an old timer from here it was nothing new. Is it obvious who was probably to blame for steph's "issues" I liked her comment about Pest control answering the phone.

Don’t be shy, maybe get some of your stories written down or create something similar. People here would love to hear more about the old days. 🙌🏻🙏🏻 There is a thread on here somewhere of my family home being raided by CID because instead of sending us a COA pest control called the police (you'll see most people on here didn't believe me and got a bit troll like). They said we had a stolen banksy. We didn't it was bought from POW who had terrible record keeping. Someone claimed to have the same print with the same edition number stolen from their house about ten years previous. Eventually we were able to prove our innocence after a prolonged period of police harassment causing me to have to leave work sick for a while because of stress (police were threatening to come to my work and arrest me). We found photo evidence of the print in our possession before the date of the insurance fraud sorry cough cough I mean burglary. nathandavis.site/banksy.pdf.. Then there is the story of the banksy art dealer taking possession of my girl with red balloon but that's a story for another day. I have a love/hate relationship with Banksy. He has changed my life for the amazingly good and the amazingly bad.

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by sandinista on Jul 22, 2023 13:38:37 GMT 1, I did a change the other day , paid the PayPal fee and that is it.... Well done you. I paid £45 and heard nothing for well over a year. And as stated above it said on their site that they replaced them, and i have seen people expecting the new one now as if the original wasn't good enough.
I gave up, print is still in previous owners name and coa is the original. If I sell it it's sold like that.
Going back to the documentary, is there still doubt on his identity? i don't think so apart from him or Someone substantial confirming. Well done Steph for keeping schtum despite not having a gagging order and probably the temptation to spill the beans for a £10 bag at some point.

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by shoreditch street art on Jul 22, 2023 23:37:08 GMT 1, I wonder who is the longest serving member on here who is still active This forum is a reference to anyone who is interested in tracking banksy over the last 25 years , there are pics of him included These are the longest serving members and good to see some of the very first are still active. 🙌
I’ve just come across an old email from the Banksy Forum dated 20 April 2006 which opens with:
“Dear Banksy Forum Member,
A warm welcome and well done to everyone! as we have just cruised past the 200 members mark and still going strong.”
I was rattusamorus then renamed nolionsinengland in those days.
My recollection is there was some kind of mass extinction event in the early days of the Banksy forum where every was re-registered with a new “joined” date or perhaps we had to manually rejoin, am I just imagining that? It was after the other famous mass extinction when eBay closed it groups where most of us early members were even more active; it predated the Walllandy forum mass extinction.
As I was banned many years ago I suspect the association with that account means it was nice knowing you all!

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by stevec on Jul 23, 2023 5:03:15 GMT 1, just finished listening and I enjoyed the first 4 or 5 episodes but after that it lost steam a bit - not least as so much of the story was based on the connection to Steph (who was great) but once her connection to POW/PC was lost, so was the sense of being behind the curtain.
and those voice overs - truly ridiculous and almost made me tune out multiple times.

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by Daniel Silk on Jul 23, 2023 5:34:55 GMT 1, I seem to remember that it was common knowledge that POW purposely employed those with drug problems, with the aim of getting them back on track, employed and involved with something positive.

Agree so annoying, I kept fast forwarding over the voice overs but it was great to hear about Steph's role in the whole thing and that she got help and is doing okay. It is hard as no one wants to talk but it would have been great if lazrides, Simon, Eine, Hewitt and other helpers over the years talk a little about the whole operation.
