Awesome piece, unfortunately being a gift piece to Daniel undeniably limits the resale value to anyone other than a Daniel I would assume. Unless the price reflects differently, although if you get the right Daniel then maybe it's more valuable. It's an awesome piece, if it was less money I would consider changing my name.

I think the potential Daniel that would buy the piece would also look at it from an investment perspective and consider the amount of future Daniels that might buy it back off him. This might drive the price down a bit, but it could have been a worse name.

I agree. Imho, some artwork, namely gifted artwork, isn’t meant to be sold. I’d assume B wouldn’t have done such a nice gesture if he knew a gallery would be selling it a few years later. I’ve got two amazing originals from Michael Hussar, that he gifted me, with my name incorporated into the artwork, and I’d never sell them. Granted we’re talking a lot of money with this B piece, but I just find it a bit off putting.
