Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by Deleted on Jun 9, 2017 19:47:23 GMT 1, There is certainly some great artists in that list. Plus anyone that likes OS Gemos would like the lesser known Brazilian artists.

I also have a fun habit of bringing some Morley stickers with me places and leaving them for others to find.
If you don't know him, he's an amazing La Based Street artist that I feels very much captures some every day human feelings and sentiments. Been leaving his stickers around the world for a few years now.

Please join us for the opening night on Thursday the 19th of October from 6:30pm for some free stuff like drinks Courtesy of Bullards, music form YAYA and a t-shirt giveaway. You will also have a chance to meet the artist who has promised to sign any part of your body..
In celebration we will also be releasing a brand new screen print exclusive to Moosey Art.
If you can't make the event or you're desperate to get your hands on a piece then please get in touch and we will put your name on the list for a preview catalogue of works.
Keep an eye out for emails and social media activity for info and previews
Mauro 'Muretz' is a Brazilian artist mostly known for his street art work. He began working with art at the age of 15, after getting expelled from school and had to start earning a living, doing exactly what got him kicked out: drawing.
Around 18 and pressured by friends and family, Muretz enroled into college to study social communication but got frustrated shortly afterwards and abandoned the course. Muretz left Brazil and travelled to London in 2003 where he continued illustrating for a living. He also enrolled into a Masters Degree course at Central Saint Martins University.
After graduating, the artist returned to Sao Paulo and started painting on the streets. His works have been featured on street art publications, tv shows, magazines and newspaper articles around the world
With clean lines and simple shapes on paper, the Sao Paulo based artist will show us some of his experimental drawings from the first semester of 2017, in which he explores unusual dynamics and movements to describe a scene.
All works were themed on the idea of energy flowing through space, pursuing and interacting with his faceless characters.

Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by dp on Feb 28, 2022 16:10:34 GMT 1, It's carnival in Brazil today.
I lived in Rio for many years and learnt about a very little known manifestation of local carnival there called Clovis/Bate Bola, which are crews which save up all year to make very expensive costumes. They then tour the city during the days of Carnival, especially the suburbs and Zona Norte ....
I'd say they definitely qualify as living street art !

Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by Friendly Ghost on Jan 7, 2023 20:09:53 GMT 1, My wife, kid (5 year old), and I are headed down to Brazil this summer. We’ll be in São Paulo for a week and Rio for a week, and wanted to check if anyone knew of a really good street art tour in either place… or if there are particular galleries we HAVE to check out?
Apologies if I’ve missed a thread already covering this…
Any help would be much appreciated.

Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by jp on Jan 8, 2023 4:50:31 GMT 1, Not sure about tours, but here is a little guide to street art locations in SP.
theculturetrip.com/south-america/brazil/articles/where-to-find-the-best-street-art-in-sao-paulo/
Batman Alley (Beco do Batman in Portugues) is the most popular spot. You can just take an Uber/Lyft there. When you are done I recommend to also wander the surrounding neighborhood of Vila Madalena since there are plenty of other walls to see. The Fortes Vilaca gallery that used to rep Os Gemeos used to be in the same area, but it looks like they renamed and moved. I would still check to see what they have going on when you are there.

Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by dotdot on Jan 8, 2023 11:48:10 GMT 1, first off - have a great time, you all will.
places - rio ? not enough. Don't try to walk up Corcovado , btw - taxi it.
sp - plenty - way more than rdj
If you're on insta i'd suggest you contact both artists and galleries directly for their advice / guidance. If you're going for a few weeks try to grasp at the very least simple Portuguese. (in my experience many many people are friendly ... but not many speak english)
As with most places - there's plenty safe and plenty dangerous so.. with that in mind , please play safe. As with a few / many here - we're jealous and would love to go too... but it's just that.... 12 hour flight , too far away.
Enjoy and please feel free to come back and let us know how it goes....
it is a wonderful place in so many ways.

Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by Friendly Ghost on Jan 8, 2023 16:48:28 GMT 1, Thanks Hoops, dotdot, and jp, for the ideas and advice. We’re visiting my wife’s family down there, and she speaks some Portuguese, so we should be okay language-wise. Safety, of course, is harder to figure out, from all the stories we hear. But hopefully her family can provide some guidance on that front.
We’ll definitely check out Batman Alley… and I’ll look into the gallery and start going through artists to see if there are particular ones we want to contact.
Thanks again! And if anyone else has additional ideas, they’d be much appreciated!
