is the code only good for one?

You will lose some of your customers with such practices. Some collectors were also fooled with the Roby release, there was a printed signature on the sculpture.... does an asian always have a printer with him instead of a pen for a signature ? 

Prints will flood the market, the 2 year rule has no legal basis. Furthermore, the market price of the old Roby sculpture will now show itself, the first ones are on the market and are not even sold for purchase price, the collectors will now notice that.

I think you have done yourselves no favours. 
Maybe next time you say it loud ( Before ) that it's printed or stamped.

Signature and stamp practices are culturally determined so not the same all over Asia, or even the world. Like I said in Japan stamps are common place, like when signing for a job contract, government documents or even a parcel you received. I offered this as context for why an artist might chose a stamp. In the end how Ayako chooses to sign her work is up to her. If she wants to use a stamp on her originals and this print then we can only respect that decision. Of course if you don't like it you don't have to buy the print!

As for the Roby sculpture, we never have sculpture works hand signed by artists as the sculpture medium does not allow for this. They will create a signature for us and we try to embed this in the material which can be wood, bronze, glass or ceramic etc. But if you're unhappy about this please feel free to reach out to [e-mail] so they can discuss it further with you.

We'll start prepping for printing on these as soon as she is done painting and will try ship them all out in the 6 weeks at least, maybe faster but since we don't know the final edition size yet we can't make any promises 😇

Yes the codes will only work for new customers and each code only works once. We had a limit on the amount of codes we're sending out so we've now stopped sending new codes. Hope you still manage to find one that works!

I'm sorry to hear you missed out on the codes. To explain: the codes were meant as a nice surprise for those that bought the Ayako print early. We gave the discount codes to those who bought in the beginning so that they could then share with friends or family who hadn't bought art with us before. The code was never a free for all, it was always something you only got if you already bought the print. Some people who got the codes just happened to have no one to share it with so kindly offered to share here.

I'm not all that familiar with her prices but I noticed there was a painting by hers auctioned today and it sold for $8,000.
