With this book it is interesting to see for me, how long it will takes to be sold out, his last print, where you can only register with a certificate from his previous works took nearly 5 days with an edition of 80.
i believe, that this book will be marked as sold out in a few hours, but is not sold out, the typical guys, which hype going will build a stock and try to increase the price artificially within the next weeks and month.

Even if I like a lot Goinβ , well , as many others street-artist ( wtf with Whitesnow with an iPhone, a grenade, a vandal mask etc .. or other Disney figures etc etc ) , are really too much copying Banksy earlier because of the stencil art and subject ( should I name Ted -that I like a lot anyway- Tabby, Opie, Mrs Banksy and Bambi, Opie. Kunstrazen, John dβOh, a friend, some new Norway artists - for me Dolk is the best stencilist ever and, anyway he does not make streetart anymore, etc etc )..
The problem with Goin ( that paint kind of Crude oils, too, well .., ) in fact the price of this book !
Itβs unbelievable!
1. If you like a lot Goin buy it !
2. Books donβt take any value, even signed. Apart for Invader ( supply anc demand ) and Banksy of course. I tried to sell son ex old signed ones, I sold them under the value. Itβs a passion.
But not at this price, with a little print or not, itβs scandalous- of they paid the paper too much ). Usually itβs with recycled one.

OMG - I feel like Iβve become a PR person for GOIN even though I was just introduced to his art in the past year - but seeing that I am from the US - I am obsessed with the FACTS and particularly sensitive the those that just make shit up... I do not understand why people are so quick to really come down on this guy. Since Iβve joined this forum I also find it interesting the almost blind ability to defend Banksy at every turn even when itβs obvious that some of his things are a rip-off/borrowed (or whatever the nice way is to say it when referring to Banksy) from other artists yet there seems to be little ability on this forum to acknowledge such when it comes to B. I love Banksy but Blek is my first love - Iβll leave that comparison for another time. Since we are talking about GOIN, all you need to do is look at GDP and do some research on GOIN. And if someone now wants to bring up DOLK (love) having been ripped off by both Banksy and GOIN then donβt just say it, post your proof and provide specifics and letβs discuss. Isnβt that the point of a forum? And why donβt we discuss more when we think something is just βborrowedβ/βinfluenced byβ/βdone in the manner ofβ vs. βcopied/ripped-offββ - instead of haphazardly accusing certain artists of ripping off Banksy, but not holding B to the same standards when discussing? Banksyβs on record as saying he thinks itβs ok to copy, but clearly he said that before he knew what was going to happen with his art and we all know that opinion has since changed. Where is the line drawn? There should be a thread where someone can post an image/artwork and then everyone gets to discuss similarities of that piece to other artists work and post images so we can get to the bottom of who did what image first and discuss how we feel about using other artists work. And please donβt confuse Zedsyβs Snow White holding a mobile phone as being a work of GOIN - GOIN did Poison Apple which Zedsy copied - the original work GOIN goes back to 2007 in a street piece which he has on his IG page. And yes, I did buy his book - I find it pathetic that people could be so nasty about an art book who at the same time are buying pieces of fake rock and postcards and a sticker for more money then said art book. Enough already.

I do not and never liked Disney parodies, because I dint like Disney.
The only good one is Dumbo print by Banksy. And itβs parody by Gonefellow.

Laz done it but he was not the first... but as he is a reference and a respectable ( anymore ? erm ) gallery, he has a big responsibility in what is happening ( cd covers per example with pic of Banksy ?! That were made in cd factories in thousands editions ! Itβs not anymore Banksy, nor Art. Itβs bizness and only commercial plastic things - supposed to be the support for a musical cd πΏ ).

Thanks Roy - youβre too kind... I really donβt know that much about art - Iβm always trying to learn more... I just get angry and frustrated when people criticize artists for things that are not facts. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if people are going to say something negative about a personβs artwork then you better be able to walk the walk and prove it and not just talk the talk. Thereβs nothing wrong with criticism or being negative this is a forum after all. I just think thereβs a better way and a not so nice way to go about doing that. I donβt want to get into the weeds too much but someone just posted a KAWS βart bookβ for sale for 5000 pounds/euro/$... Iβm good with the GOIN at 300, but Iβm not going to criticize the person who buys the KAWS at 5000 (although if I knew enough about his work, I might share how I feel about that price for said book). |

some of GOINs stuff is great but comes with a mark up like whatson or fidac his recent book release was around 300-350 euro I think lucky enough to know kultur spati who releases alot of his stuff but still price puts me off alot of his releases
