Speed cubes are way better, turn really easily and are constructed differently, and are much enjoyable to solve.

then glued together, and spray painted.
very basic but happy with it.

It’s a bit rough and ready but cheap and easy. Will make a better deeper (and sanded) base for this but wanted to check it’d work first. Basically a £7.50 desk tidy from Muji, upturned (obv). Pleased with it as a first effort 💪

I think I will do a similar one, but lay a piece of plexi over the wood base (I think you have, but can't clearly tell other than the shadow hinting at it) and spray the topside of the base white, so the shadow of the box can be seen clearly. |
