Asian Market help, by sean1397 on Jul 24, 2022 4:10:58 GMT 1, So I am finding myself more and more attracted to a lot of art out of Asia. It's not just that it's becoming more popular, but I really like some of the paintings by DWI, Ryol, Kencut, and Mark Drew, but more importantly I am finding there are a lot of less discovered artists with similar genres and images that I like a lot.
The hard thing is figuring out the galleries, shows, and drops in Asia. It seems much less is translated to English than from Europe and there seems to be a pretty small network of people in the know...
I have figured out a few main gallery like Nanzuki and Souledoutstudios but I have not figured out most.
If anyone can help - what are say the top 5-10 galleries for these types of artists?
Also where do these artists drop their new prints? I seem to find them a week after they drop on instagram? Are there 5-10 places where a lot of these drops happen? It seems apps may be more common than galleries, but any help would he greatly appreciated.
If anyone closer to the action is willing to help me secure things in Asia, I am happy to return the favor in the US (picking things up, shipping, address for things that wont ship abroad, etc... I split time between Miami and Vail (Denver) but also spend a good deal of time in Boston, NYC, Chicago, Dallas, Houston Minneapolis, SF, Seattle, LA, and San Diego. I also get to Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, London, Dublin, Paris, and other parts of Europe some but not as often.

I will make up a list of galleries for you and send you a DM. I can also point you in the direction of some artists who will either deal directly with you or let you know about any shows they have coming up.
You should also get a hold of Illustration 2021 and 2022 which is full of established and upcoming Asian artists. There's also a thread on the forum all about Asian art.

If you are only interested in the top high end galleries selling Asian art. They would be easily found on instagram and online.
