Screen printing has always been like this, with the exception of technological advancements. The Avant prices are still very high.
Goldmark Atelier produced a 60 layered screen print for £170. Think about that.

It has very little to do with the actual costs of screen-printing (as that's cheap), and ALL to do with how much money the publisher and artist want to make.

I absolutely loved this talk and Thomas was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. There truly is an art to it. That being said, the reason costs of print is going is because the market can tolerate it. Just look at giclees "archival pigment prints" selling for thousands.

How can they be sitting when the drawing isn’t even for another 2 weeks? At a price point of less than 1k they’ll all be allocated easily even w/ 800. I’m glad I got one as I’ve missed out on a bunch of his other work and I don’t want to pay secondary prices.

Same here missed or not really like some older release, glad to grab one of this (BULAN). 6 days to go.. still thinking it's a little bit pricey (not thanks to secondary market ...)  but quality and service of avant is always top notch
